i bought this trash can on wheels today . And I love the design of the lid molded into the handle 50 gal model..
The thickness of the material is thicker then my old 32 gal model and I still use it  That one is at least 20 years old.    The best part about it is    Its made in the USA

Love this 45 gallon can. Have 4. Had them for years but the lids have cracked and cannot find replacement lids anymore.

I bought this about a year ago and the wheel has fallen off. Otherwise, it has been a great garbage can. I wish the lid was attached to it as the garbage men don't put the lid back on after emptying.

Poor durability of wheels

I purchased these for a rental property t

They have good capacity, but the bottom corners tend to break after a year or two, and the lids if not attached securely blow away and no Replacements seem to be available.

No replacement lids

I have at least two 45 gallon rubbermaid hinged trash cans and have been unable to use them for some time because their lids were destroyed. I've searched through the web and only round ones are available. Where can I find a lid only? Replacement lids for 45 gallon trash cans

I have owned two of these trash cans and found them very useful ...at first. Then, the axle came off/out on one of the cans and I could not reattach the wheels in order for it to roll. Some time later, after using the second one, one of the plastic wheels cracked badly and became useless, making the can roller-less.
Now i have to drag them around or lift and carry them. I would not purchase another or recommend that anyone else does!

Throwing your money in the trash...

This is a piece of junk.  It does not withstand holding vegetation, it falls over even with nothing in it.  This is a waste of money and Rubbermaid should be embarrassed to sell such a defective and poor product.

TERRIBLE

One bang from the garbage truck and the wheel fell off and the cap fell off with the garbage truck. I need a new cap to hold the wheels on. Not even a year old!

Poor quality

I bought this last August. By December the wheel assembly fell apart. In spite of the “10 year” warranty Rubbermaid they wouldn't replace it. And they didn't even offer to replace the wheels!

This is NOT a good trash can!

also purchased about 3 months ago and wheels fell off.  Contacted Rubbermaid using online form late Nov 2025 to ask if they would send wheels and axle.   Also sent pictures but could not on this form (option 2 did not work until AFTER you click submit).  Have not heard anything ....... exactly what does 10 yr limited warranty cover ???
