Can't believe I hesitated on purchasing this boresighter.  It is sturdy (don't drop it, obviously) and it worked, first time.  Had two rifles on paper in less than 10 minutes, and with 2 rounds.  Higher end match loads, which, if you don't reload is what you should sight in with, will eat into the cost to zero quickly.  This diminishes that by a substantial amount

I had my doubts, as I had used other laser boresighters in the past, with mediocre success.  If you do a lot of shooting, and  you mount and/or change glass and sights, this is an invaluable tool.  You're also not messing with the crown of your muzzle or the inside of the barrel at a pretty crucial point.  Nothing goes inside the barrel.  I can't imagine a barrel made with an off-angle muzzle, so it should work on almost anything that will hold a magnet (most stainless used in modern firearms is just as magnetically attractive as regular steel).

Some have mentioned that not having it centered on the bore makes it less accurate.  Maybe at 300m+, but you're probably not sighting in at 300m+.  I tried moving the center point of the magnet off center, and then as centered as I could get it, and it was within a couple of centimeters difference at 100m - that's much less than 99% of us can hold steady, and it was on paper.

The reflective grid that comes with it makes the laser substantially more bright than you would think.  That said, I'm pretty sure the red laser version of this device would be sufficient, but the green is CLEARLY visible, even in high altitude Colorado sunshine.

Good purchase, would buy again.  Now, to just keep people from asking to borrow it...

First time out of the box unit worked great . Took to 100 yard range and got on paper near  center mass after first time at home using the laser. Helped two other shooters get on paper after their bore sight did not even get them close. highly recommend

Green Laser Bore Sighter works

This device is a must have for bore sighting scopes on rifles. Works exceptionally well on AR platform guns, but it is best to remove the slash suppressors before attaching to the barrel. I also used it on a Remington 700 bolt action rifle. After boresighting the first shots in each rifle were four and 6 inches of bull's-eye at 50 yards. Both rifles were zeroed at 100 yards and in less than five shots each.

Must Have For Scope Bore Sighting

After trying several of the cheaper versions with varying results I finally decided to step up and pay the price for quality. So glad I did, this thing has a bright light and strong magnet and makes sighting a breeze.

Best bore sighter available

No other sighting tool comes near fulfilling the need for accurate and fast sighting of any weapon, pistol or rifle. One tool fits all. Just attach using its strong magnet and aim. Adjust your scope to the laser dot then fire. Two rounds and you should be zeroed. Keep in mind it's a very strong magnet, so attach to muzzle carefully and keep it stored in its case away from any thing affected by magnetism. As with all things battery operated, recommend to remove battery after use. Case has a nice cut out for it also. Go with the green rather than red dot for better clarity in seeing, especially at longer distances, i.e., 100 yards. Little more expensive but worth it.

A Must Have Tool For Serious Scope Users

I've not used a magnetic bore sight before, but this one is of great quality and works great as well.
