You can smell the natural cedar as soon as you remove it from the package. It's very study once assembled. The price is EXCELLENT !!! I use these as soap displays for my craft shows. I use these to organize my shoes. I use these to organize my kitchen cabinets. Talk about a versitle product.

This is the second one I ordered.  I was well pleased with the product. For the price and ease of assembly it was very good. Definitely not heavy duty, but perfect for what I needed.  Both orders came in a very timely manner.

The shelves are lightweight and easy to put together. I wanted a rustic look for my cottage use, so the unfinished wood is a perfect fit.

This product is Light Duty, do not expect otherwise.
For the price it is excellent if used accordingly.
I specifically purchased this product For A Specific Purpose and in that respect it is perfect.
I bought this product to create superior air flow for my game consoles.
(for example Wii or Xbox 360)
It provides superior air flow for these game consoles and fits them very nicely.
It also provides a top shelf for stacking DVD package encased games. (the space between shelves will Not fit a DVD case)
View the dimensions carefully, it is small and light and meant for light duty use.
(NOTE: if desired, the top shelf can be used for single shelf or air flow product with the shorter legs but the second shelf cannot be used with legs.... one shelf is drilled as hole-through)

As an engineer, I KNOW that semiconductors have a negative temperature coefficient.
In layman terms.... if your computer based devices get hot, they fail or fail rapidly and there is no exception.
This product is great for extending the lifespan of Wii and Xbox360 consoles.

Light Duty

I am glad that I keep carpenter's glue around.  The plastic insert in one of the holes cracked.  And, one part of the horizontal bar was cracking.  Otherwise, nice looking product for the price.

Nice under a table storage area

If you're looking for a light-duty shelf (the illustrated shoe rack is perfect), then this shelf will suffice. It's very easily assembled -- it took me less than five minutes. However, the wood is very lightweight, almost the quality of balsa, and I don't think it would hold anything of any substance. Mine is used on the side of my desk and I don't think I'd want to put anything heavier than my (large) rolodex card file on it. But then, the price is right.

Inexpensive shelving

I bought this for my kid's closet so they could keep their shoes organized. While it might be fine for older kids (although maybe small depending on how many shoes needed to be organized) my young boys think it is fun to step on, and it isn't sturdy enough for that. I regret buying it, and I should have spent double the money and got a sturdy metal one. I found it fairly flimsy.

As I was assembling the wrack I noticed a piece of wood was broken. I was disappointed but for 10 bucks did not have the energy to disassemble and return to Walmart. It is holding shoes despite the defect.  Maybe I will hot glue the damaged section. Next time I will shell out a little more cash for somethung more substantial.

I don't recommend this, it broke the first day , the wood is very thin , reminded me of the wood used when making the wooden dinosaur models, not sturdy for shoes

Save your money

As soon as this arrived in the mail, I opened the outer box and went to get a scissor to open the shelves' packaging. Before I even opened the plastic wrapping, I noticed that every slat had splinters all over the outside. I knew it was unfinished wood, but it didn't say it was rough-hewn with splinters everywhere! I am not going to take time to sand such an inexpensive product to make it useable. I didn't open it, and will be returning it.
