Ease Of Assembly

Build Quality

The Wicked Ridge string dampening system just makes sense.  It is relatively easy to install, although you might have to make a modification, depending on your bow, but still pretty easy.  And if you just look at the system,  it is easy to see what it just makes sense and will perform properly.  Understand that this is not a silencer system, it is a dampening system, and it does just that.  This is my second system (one on my previous bow), so I definitely was purchasing a system for my newer bow.

Put these on my Wicked Ridge Invader X4  not because it was to loud when it shot but to dampen the string after shooting. I have seen slow motion video of what happens when the bolt leaves the string and it and the cables do some wild things before settling back to rest, it happens fast but if you can help control it some what why not. They did seem to help some with the sound while shooting and fit like they are supposed to, follow the directions and everything will fit and work like it should I like the looks of the Xbow with them on it too. They are only for certain Xbows so make sure you make sure yours is one of them in the description.

Fits right, looks good!

Shooting with the dampener makes it quieter and you dont hear any sound like it did without it. Highly recommended

String dampener makes sound go away

I had my son inlaw stand by me while i shot my crossbow. Then i installed the dampeners, he said it was quieter.

I just installed the new Wicked Ridge string dampening system on my wife and my crossbows, it was very easy and well thought out design.  I have not shot my crossbow yet but the way the dampener installed I'm sure it will work like it's supposed to so if you want a string dampening system for your Wicked Ridge Invader X4 this is a very well made product that should help with string noise.

The dampeners were easy to install. However use a good torx wrench. I believe the system has reduced noise however I will reserve judgement until a fire a shot from my tree stand this fall. Ten Point/ Wicked Ridge puts out quality products so I'm confident the SDS will serve well.

SDS string dampener.

Overall a good product.  I found the T15 torx wrench provided to be less than ideal (too small) for driving the self tapping screws. Fortunately I had a T15 bit that I used in my drill motor to easily install the screws. In addition, one of the dampener rods was too long causing the string to be deflected in the static position.  A few seconds on the sanding disc resolved the issue.  Haven't had an opportunity to shoot the bow so I can't speak to the effectiveness of the dampening system.

Good product

They fit perfectly and are high quality but I am not sure that they quiet the bow enough to be worth the money.

Un decided benefit.

The grooved dampeners were a terrible idea. I installed them correctly and I'm telling you they only lasted 40 shots before wearing through and the string started slapping the rod they rested on. I sanded down the rods so they would fit the flat headed sdr dampeners and it worked perfectly.  I don't understand why they even went with the grooved dampener heads but they are absolutely trash! Tenpoint could do a much better job at the design and hope they do in the future. I still love tenpoint but these dampeners are absolute trash for the money.  Stick with flat headed dampeners folks.
