I heard squirrels didn't like this "heat" and it's true. They don't come near it but the birds do. (I toss corn to the back fir squirrels but enjoy watching birds at my feeders now.

Good value, works well

Wild Delight hot bird feed keeps squirrels away while attracting birds. I used to find a squirrel laying Roman style in on of my bird feeders stuffing its fat belly almost every every morning but not any more.

Although the product is more than twice the price of the cheapo no-brand bird seed I buy, Wild Delight attracts larger and more colorful birds than I have enjoyed in the past. I began to mix a little cheapo seed into the good stuff and the birds haven't complained yet.

The "heat" on the seed is not volatile and after handling the seed I can hardly taste it on my finger, but it is a good idea to wash your hands anyway. I believe I will continue to buy it and mix some of the cheap stuff.

Fewer squirrels, bigger birds

First I had one squirrel, then he brought over a pal. Suddenly, their neighbors showed up and it was a regular squirrel extravaganza. I added this to the buffet and the squirrels left without so much as a tip.

The squirrels around here don't like this bird food.  Before they would wrap themselves around the feeder and eat away.  Now I haven't seen a squirrel anywhere near the feeder.  Maybe there are different kinds of squirrels, but I am glad this food repels them for me.

Works great

At first, birds wouldn't eat it but then they started but eat it less.  Guess it's better than nothing!

Good and bad!

While nothing totally keeps the squirrels from eating your bird food, I've found this works best. I had as many as 6-7 squirrels at a time with other food, but his one limits the squirrels to 1-3.

Anti-squirrel bird food.

I have yet to find any brand of 'squirrel be gone' feed that actually does what it says.... Ours go after it the same as everything else, unfortunately.  I don't recommend paying such a high price for anything that doesn't hold up to it's own claims.

Doesn't deter squirrels

Guess the squirrels in my neck of the woods love their food spicy hot.  They love this stuff as much as any other feed.
