I got this camera on sale for $45. It is very easy to use, just select what you want to record, still photos or 30 second video. One set just turn it on and place it where you want. It is very good on battery usage as it sits idle until it senses movement. Daytime video is in color, pretty decent quality. Night time pictures are black and white looking as it switches to infrared. It can see in total darkness easily. It can sense movement up to 70 feet away and even picks up small animals.

Was impressed by the quality of pictures this camera takes as it's been left to work over night here. Have not employed both of the 2-pack cameras yet but will once second SD card is purchased.

I purchased a couple of these cameras last season and was surprised at the quality images they captured. When I wanted more for this season I knew which ones I wanted and never looked at any other brands. I have not been disappointed.

GEN273 Terra 12 Review

Folks, if you are wanting wall-hanging quality photos, this is not the camera for you.  This camera is designed for a inventory-type quality photo......that is, you put out attractant (corn, mineral lick, etc.) and then you place the camera in a position so that you can get an inventory of the deer on your property.  This is not going to be a high-resolution type camera.  For the money, you can't go wrong.

I have used the first camera I was given as a Christmas gift this year, and I have 0 complaints toward it.  The slight issue is that it takes 30 seconds between photos to reset to be triggered again..........so if you are using it for taking photos of a fast-paced animal, then you will be disappointed.

Great camera for the money.

Bought this cam last year and wasn't expecting much. Ended up being the best cam I have. Better than other brands that cost 3x as much. Bought 2 more this year to put out. Love the pics and videos, great battery life and trigger speeds. No complaints whatsoever.

Best camera for the buck.

Bought this cam. for deer season, tried it out in the back yard. I set cam. 1 foot off the ground turned it on and walked away. The next morning I took SD card out and put it in my computer, 2 cats, 1 possum, and 1 rat. The pics. were very clear, hope I get the same outcome when I place it by my deer plot!!

My name is coston Lewis, I've owned the terra extreme cameras for sometime now and to think I could buy two at this price was too good to be true. They are easy to operate and the batteries lasts during deer season.

Terra extreme 12 better by the pair

I bought this camera a week ago and put battery's in it and put it out in the woods. I wasn't expecting much out of a $50 camera, but it'd be nice for it to work at least. Not one single picture. I even tried walking in front of it waving my arms and still.........nothing. I have 2 other cameras around the same area (you can even see this camera in the pictures from the other ones) and still nothing. The whole reason I purchased it was because I have another wild game innovations camera that works fine, but this one is awful. Would not recommend! Just save yourself the extra trip to the store and spend 20 extra bucks for a decent one.

Terrible camera

I purchased the Terra 6 and decided to try and see how it would actually perform after seeing several hunters compliment this camera in a forum. Despite having poor experience with WGI cameras before, I tested it over a period of 4 days/nights and for the sake of reference, I used my Bushnell Trophy Cam and Moultrie M80xt on the same tree to see what photos I would be missing with the Terra 6. 

WGI claims the Terra 6 has a "50' illumination/detection range". I beg to differ, the camera wouldn't detect myself (5'11 235lbs)  walking in front of it past 30' or so during day light. At night it seemed to be even less of a distance.  

The 30 second delay between photos is a HORRIBLE feature and will cost you the photos you might need to identify multiple deer, especially passing bachelor groups of bucks. 

Being hung in my backyard with a full grown black lab running around, there were many times my Bushnell and Moultrie would capture photos of him walking through out the day and night with out issu. While the WGI Terra 6 rarely detected his movement many times, even when he would be within 10-20ft of the Terra 6.

I would check the cameras every 24hrs, I would be lucky to get an average of  5-10 photos on the Terra 6 while the Bushnell and Moultrie would capture 200 or more photos. While viewing the photos from the Bushnell and Moultrie, there were many times the Terra 6 should have captured a photo but never did. 

The quality of the photos from the Terra 6 during the day were acceptable, however night photos are less than desirable and even more horrible if you have a object moving in front of the camera. What few photos that were taken up close were pretty washed out from the IR flash. 

Video is  low to moderate quality with no sound.

This is a very, very basic, no frills camera with no optional settings. I don't recommend wasting your money on this camera.  Once again, my experiences with  WGI cameras are less than desirable.

I have since exchanged this camera for a Moultrie.

Spend a little more money for a better camera
