My son has been using Evolutions for a few years. It is pretty much the standard/most popular basketball for indoor use. Yes, it is more expensive than most, but we have had one for three years and use it exclusive indoors only 3-4 days a week, 52 weeks a year and it still looks like new. However, if you use it outdoors or on concrete, even briefly it will not last.

Other Advise:
Make sure you get the correct size.
Using a sharpie, put your name and phone number on it.

Great Basketball

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was the ball I was looking for. Only hiccup was I had to inflate it. The picture shows a fully inflated ball.

I am leaving a review after 4 months. My son really enjoyed playing with this ball, and its condition is still like new. My experience with this ball has been very good. 👍

This basketball is great for indoors. If sweat gets on the ball it gets real slippery, especially before it's properly broken in. Once it is broken in, it isn't as bad. The ball has excellent grip and a bit of a soft feeling to it. Make sure you do not over inflate otherwise it is really hard to grip.

Great basketball but a bit slippery when wet

Dissapomited in the quality. Not like they used to be. This was always my preferred indoor ball. I liked them because they feet soft and have a great grip and feel. As close to a real leather ball as possible.
The new ones I just received feel hard and slippery. Wilson definitely changed something in their formula.

I am very disappointed with this basketball. I've been using Wilson Evolution  basketballs for over 7 years, so I know exactly how they are supposed to feel. This one is abnormally hard right out of the box, with terrible grip and almost no “ball feel.” It feels nothing like a proper Wilson Evolution ball.
Even after use, it remains extremely stiff, and the surface does not provide the usual soft, tacky grip. In fact, it feels worse than a $25 basketball I bought at Costco, which is unacceptable considering this cost over $80.  Whether this is a quality control issue, old stock, or something else, the performance is simply not acceptable at this price point. Based on my experience, this ball does not meet the standard of genuine Wilson indoor basketballs.
I would not recommend this product and regret this purchase.
The photos I shared were taken after one week of use in an indoor gym. It says everything.

This is my 2nd Wilson Evolution Indoor Game basketball from Walmart, the quality is no where close to my 1st one, I felt so strange when it came in deflated package, after pump in some air, 
the bounce is weak and the grip is very rough.  I thought Wilson change the material, maybe?  but apparently I'm not the only one has the issue after reading the reviews, I think I got the counterfeit one, it still a basketball, but the quality is way below what you paid for, I will never buy this on Walmart, it is very disappointing that dishonest seller able to sell their products on Walmart.

These are NOT authentic Wilson Evolution basketballs.  They come deflated (not a deal breaker) but on a real ball the texture doesn't change throughout, including the logo.  On these balls the Wilson logo is applied over the natural texture of the ball which is NOT as high quality.  There is also a barcode on these balls thats is completely smooth and devoid of texture.  This is NOT present on a real ball.

FAKE/Knockoff balls

This is a knockoff of a real evolution basketball. Everything with the writing seems accurate but the grip and texture is completely off. Plus the way it was packaged meant even at full air, there is still a crease running down the middle of it.
