The chairs came assembled and are very sturdy. They replace a couple pairs of similarly priced but much lower quality chairs at a kitchen table. They're balance (no wobble) and are the standard height.

In case you're wondering if these will support you: I'm 75"/250lb. They hold me without complaining, even when I lean back.

I love the look of Windsor chairs, but they can be so expensive! My sister was looking for them also, and I found them for her on this site. She ordered them a long time ago, and loves them! They have held up wonderfully for her family. I decided to order them also, and I am so glad I did! I love them! They are sturdy, but not too heavy to move around. And I love that they came assembled! Just open the box, remove the packing and set them at the table. That easy! I would highly recommend these chairs!

I love these chairs!

Firstly, the chairs are a nice semi-gloss black and though they are a smallish chair, they sit comfortably.

I bought 6. I was pleased overall but for the fact that I had to return two due to nicks and chips. Am very pleased to report that the returns are exceptionally easy with the associate, whom I spoke to via on-line chat, was knowledgable and friendly and walked me through the return process and also re-ordered two new chairs for me.

Today I took the two damaged chairs to FedEx. I was provided a return label via email. My new chairs were also ready for pick-up at Cost. Serv. at my local Walmart.

Unfortunately, I have to return these two as well for mars and chips. I only wish that the associates who ship the actual chairs would just give them a quick once-over to make sure that there are no scratches, chips, or other marks on the chairs. That would save a lot of time, effort and money for Walmart as they pay for return shipping. Also, as I bought the chairs in sets of two, I have to return two, even though only one may be defective. That seems counterproductive.

I'm hoping that the new set will be defect free as I'm planning a dinner party in two weeks. 

All-in-all I am very happy with the chairs.

Windsor Chairs

Chairs appear to be very nice and well constructed, black paint has a few runs, but nothing I can't easily live with. Wife said to get 2 and see what they looked like, but reviews gave me confidence that they were as described so I ordered all six....she was pleasantly surprised. All sat square on our hardwood floor, we added felt pads to feet and they felt a lot more "solid" and substantial. Bought the red doeskin pads at same time, they fit nicely and the color was a bit more of a subdued red than they appeared online which is more to my liking. My only complaint is that the "sack back" is not as rounded as I had hoped which makes the spindles a tad uncomfortable to me, but I'm the only in my family that thinks that. Maybe I sit differently than they do or as my wife says I'm "just too picky". Overall good solid chairs at a very reasonable price.

Chairs arrived in fine form, looked good

I Love these chairs! Saw these were black and had to get them, I'm in the process of matching everything in red and black in our kitchen. Anyway these are VERY sturdy chairs, some of the reviewers had said they weren't very sturdy or were too narrow, well I don't find that to be true at all, I'm a big woman, 350+ and I fit on these chairs nicely and they are VERY sturdy. I plan to purchase 2 more of these, Thank you Walmart :)

Chairs were damaged! There was an inch extra wood sticking out of the bottoms where the dowels go through with a screw half sticking out to hold it in place. Purchased the Windsor big chair as a replacement and they were also just as bad quality.

Poor quality

I was looking for some chairs to go with a table that we were giving to our great nephew's mother for their 1 bedroom apartment. These chairs went perfect with the table and looked so cute in their small apartment. They seemed to be made well and have a very nice look to them.

Great pair of chairs.

this is a very premature effort . I've had the items almost 2 weeks. I must say that I was very happy to see the condition of the chairs when I opened the boxes. It was excellent. The pads were excellent as well.The setup was easy enough that my 9 year old grandson did it by himself.There is NO setup involved. The chairs are shipped 2 to a box and the pads were 4 to a box. I would recommend this product to any and all.

Chairs were scratched, chipped and generally in bad shape. They were very small too.

Poor

I had 4 chairs previously and had to replace one.  4 stars for the price fairness.  The high quality black lacquer or paint that doesn't dull or chip.  I recd 2 new chairs yesterday, only needed one and one of them was flawed with a several inch spot where it looks like they forgot to paint.  Too much of a hassle to return and try it again.

Well worth it
