Walmart had it the cheapest vs 4 competitors. I did have to pay to have it assembled, but it's PERFECT!!

I just finished assembling the desk. The quality was better than expected. Easy to assemble and beautiful addition to the room. I'm very happy with it!

Gorgeous piece

this is really cute and fits nicely in a smaller space. i like the color of the wood.

We purchased this little writing desk for a small space and it's perfect.  Construction of the desk took about 1.5 hours with 2 people.  We suggest 2 people - one person may be able to accomplish construction but it is easier to have someone holding pieces in place while someone is screwing it together.  We inventoried the package for each piece (as suggested) and used the pictures in the directions to determine which piece was A, B, C... etc.  We labelled them with post-it notes and this helped a great deal as we were assembling it.  The instructions were very clear and by following them, the desk was put together.  It looses one star because there is a clear gap around the desk when the lid is up and because the manufacturer must be prejudiced against the letter "K", as the pieces went alphabetically but missed that letter.  Otherwise, we are very happy with the purchase.  I was going to put a photo of the product with the review, but somehow the system isn't giving me the option.

A lovely little writing desk

This Secretary desk is nice and perfect for small rooms/ areas. Made of solid wood. Only issue is the drawer mechanics was very poorly designed. When it's pulled out (since it does not have metal side runners) the front part of it hangs down very low. Extremely poor design on the drawer's function/ mechanics.

Compact, solid wood but drawer issue.

Parts are not all identified: can't install the drawer stoppers…instructions not too clear.

A little tricky to install

Easy to put together well constructed, they rounded corners off rather crudely ,would have preferred square corners.  
manufacturer wrapped pieces pretty well however there was some rubbing on top front. I don't know how manufacturer could have protected any better.

secretary desk

i cant get anybody to assemble it for me from walmart for under 242$, because i didn't know to ask for that at the time i ordered it. so it just sits in my study, unassembled. sigh. im not paying that much!

I paid extra to have Angi come and put the desk together but they never came to do the job.I am not happy with this mistake that was made by Walmart.
