Assembly takes around 10-30 minutes with clear instructions.

Bought 4 of these for use by the kitchen counter, as the counter was low and there was not much room for a full sized chair.  They turned out great and I would heartily recommend them.
Assembly was not too difficult but I would recommend using a towel to protect the assembly surface (my table) and using a socket driver with hex allen wrench to tighten the legs, as the supplied little hex wrench cannot be turned 360 degrees.  Another issue was that the foot rest bars would turn while tightening the screws.  So I recommend using a large crescent wrench (with pad to prevent scarring the wood) to hold the bar straight while tightening the screws.   The supplied wood plugs (to cover the screw holes) seem a bit too small as several went below the surface.  I added Dugan 3/4" black nylon slider guides to the bottom of each foot so the stools would glide easily and not mar my wood floor.  I had trouble finding nylon back slider glides locally, so I search on the internet.

Solid Product and Great Value!

I ordered 2, ebony/walnut, to etch a design and restain it. They worked great for my needs and the price was right.
Its decent wood with a nice finish that hides any imperfections on the wood itself.
Would definitely buy again.

Have only put one together as shown in pic, the ebony is still flat packed.

Very nice stools

We ordered two of these stools and have been very happy with them. They were shipped quickly, came well packaged, and were simple to put together. The company even sent a few extra pieces of hardware. The stools are sturdy with no wobble and they look great!! We would definitely buy these again.

Nice Sturdy Stools

I looked at several online stores to price compare this stool (I purchased this in Walnut). Wal-mart was at least $10/stool cheaper than everywhere else, and there are a lot of places that sell this. I'm pretty impressed with the quality, they look nice, they were fairly easy to put together -we did use our own ratcheting screwdriver with hex head insert, which made it much easier to assemble. This is my second time ordering furniture from wal-mart.com and I would do it again.

Looks good and cheaper than other sellers

Great quality. My only issue was the blots that came with the stool. They give you all the hardwear to put the stool together,(which is great) but the tool to get the bolts in is an Allen key. I found that because the stool is real wood (another reason I like the stool) that even with the predrilled holes, I needed a lot of strength to twist the bolts all the way in. I ended up going and buyin bolts and drilling them in with a power drill. I don't think I would have gotten it together with out it. The Allen key just striped the bolts that came with it.

Great quality

the price is a good price. The product itself has some problems. the holes the screws go in are not or do not line up well with screws. You can warp the screw trying to tighten it down. you have to be really strong to do this and it takes a lot of time to build them. But once put together the chair I strong very heavy duty stool but the product the way it's manufactured and the tool provided make this a difficult build. It's up to you. If you can afford a better chair with lesser hassle of manufacture issues like this one had I would recommend another. If your looking for a good deal but willing to work through the wood tool screw issues it has then this one is great.

50/50

I had been looking everywhere for stools for my new apartment. Finally found these cute saddle stools at a decent price. Did the site to store shipping (kind of regrettably since the customer service line was long and no Walmart employees seem to be able to do basic math) and got them home.

Yay, this is where the fun starts! My boyfriend tried to put them together while I was at work. There is no way you can put these together without two people. It is very difficult. He tried for hours.

I finally got home to help and by the end, the tools included with the purchase had stripped everything and it was getting extremely difficult to tighten the last legs. In the end, one of the horizontal legs can't even be attached correctly and looks a little weird if you really look at it. Not the HUGEST deal, since these were a low price... I wasn't expecting top of the line. Oh! And we put ours on a carpeted area, which is good- since the legs are uneven and wobble if placed on a hard surface.

Overall though, they look good in the apartment. They work well (for one couple in a small apartment who has other seating as well, and isn't constantly using them). Basically, I got what I paid for, and I am satisfied with it.

Cute Stools, Two Man Job

This is one of the worst purchases I've ever made. We own two Winsome Wood stools that we purchased and assembled about ten years ago, and we absolutely love them. When we bought a larger island, I measured our stools to make sure that I was ordering duplicates. All of the measurements were identical, so I ordered two new stools. 

These are horrible in every way. (I've only assembled one of them and am dreading putting the second one together.) Assembly was extremely difficult. I'm not sure if the screws were defective, the allen wrench was defective, or the holes were improperly drilled. When I put the new stool beside our old one, my husband walked by and said, "wow, what happened? this looks cheap."

Avoid at all costs

Not easy to put together when you finally put it together it wobbled it had no stability at all chair was broken in the first day it was put together would not Recommend this

Not worth it

We bought these stools not even 4 months ago and they are already falling apart which is extremely unfortunate as I had 3 of these exact stools from 2017 and those lasted me until now. I do not recommend this product and would advise everyone not to buy them.
