This is my second pair of hiking sneakers from Merrell. They are great shoes that grip rocks and speed me along my way. I do use them with an insert to cushion my foot and align my toes correctly,  and my normal size shoe allows the insert to fit right inside. I have been using them in cold autumn days in temps about 36-48 with wool socks and my feet are cozy.

Great hiking shoe

This is my third pair of Merrell Moab Ventilator sneakers. Having had bilateral foot pain for years I thought my walking days were over. With the help of an excellent podiatrist and custom orthotic inserts, I came across the Moab sneakers in just my size a couple of years ago. The orthotics fit perfectly in the shoe.  There is very good support, plenty of toe room and a firm sole, just what I needed. I am now back to daily walking, slow jogging, along with another pair to wear reserved for gardening, Just to be on the safe side, I also ordered a spare pair for down the road. So glad I found this shoe and hope Merrell continues to sell them.

Moab 2 Ventilator is the perfect shoe for me

The hikers I didn't know I needed!  Bought these at the last minute for my trip to Arizona and I am so thankful I did!  We were lucky enough to win the lottery for The Wave 2 days before and although I was aware the hike was rated “Strenuous” I had originally planned to wear my running shoes. That would have ended up an epic fail. The hilly hike was truly treacherous - varying between uneven gravel, loose rocks, deep sand and these hikers were just what I needed to complete and survive the hike!  I never would have made the hike without them!

The Moab has been with me on many miles of trails.  They have hiked rim to rim in the Grand Canyon and all 48 of the New Hampshire 4000 footers.  Never had a blister and always a good grip on some tricky surfaces. When the first pair got worn out, I replaced them with the same shoe.

I bought the taupe color and they go with anything! I wear them for a job where I stand all day and the support is perfect. No foot pain at end of my shift and I love how they look so will be wearing them even when not at work. The bottom has a wonderful grip when hiking on rocks—that's a plus!

SUPPORTIVE AND CUTE

The fit is great and the molded to my feet very quickly. I hiked 15 miles a day for 2 days at Yosemite in my brand new shoes. No blisters, no discomfort from the shoes, and I got many compliments about the color. These shoes handled every terrain well, from climbing up an icy mountain to walking the base of a waterfall. 10/10 recommend these!!

Great first buy!!

This is the second time purchasing this hiking shoe. I loved them so much the first time, I just had to get them again. I tried on other shoes but these were by far the better fit. They're unbelievably comfortable and very durable. I've hiked several national parks, including rim to rim Grand Canyon trips. Great shoe, highly recommend. I'm normally a size 7.5 and sizing up to an 8 worked perfectly since I like to wear thicker hiking socks.

These are very comfortable hiking shoes! I was able to hike for five days through National Parks and even with having a bunion, these shoes were the best for comfort and durability.
They hardly needed "breaking in"and were perfect from the first day I tried them on.

Highly Recommend these Moab 2 Ventilators

I wear these shoes in spring and summer for walking around the neighborhood.  I am also a 70 year old RN that wears them at work because I supervise 7 stories and need to keep moving.  I have the Moab 2 ankle high for hiking trails.  Just ordered another pair because my others are getting worn.

Going the distance

I have enjoyed these heavy duty shoes when walking in nature. They are comfortable and roomy enough for thick socks. They provide stability on uneven pathways. The only negative for me is that they are heavier than I anticipated; therefore, I would not want to pack them for travel or wear them on an airplane.

Loves the older style moab vent w/ 6 eyelets! Went everywhere! New ones have too much heel slip w/ 5 eyelets :( had to return
