Does not truly fit a 1/2" pole.   1/2" is common for shepherd's hook type hanging poles (two big hooks at the top).  I duct taped around the pole to give it enough girth for this to work.  Otherwise, it hangs easily and it's a baffle, and baffles work.  Not much to screw up other than using poor quality steel and hardware (no idea about those issues with this item).  I'll be interested to see how it holds up over time.

It works, just not on a 1/2" pole

This works great! Fits on shepherd hook type hangers. Chipmunks and squirrels are staying out of the bird feeders, Finally! Will be buying another one for my other pole.

It Works

Clamp for the pole broke the first day. One of the screw threads stripped. Had to rig a new clamp. The paint chipped putting it up.

Cheap parts.

I have two hanging poles that are thin and have dual stakes on the bottom and dual hangers on top. A single hole baffle will not fit over the protrusions. I Tried plastic baffles, but they did not hold up to heat, cold and sun. These metal baffles work well. When needed, they can be painted and should last indefinitely.

Great for irregular poles

The baffler fit perfect and seems to be doing the job. My only complaint is that the screws that came with the bracket were to short so I had to buy longer ones.
