This delightful wren house has the proper size hole for wrens.  It can be cleaned out by removing two screws on the bottom of the house.
This is the 3rd one I have purchased.

I would buy this again if needed.  It is put together with screws, so it will be easy to open to clean out in the fall making it ready for the next year.  The hole will allow wrens and chickadees in, but not sparrows.

really well made. should last a long time. wrens haven't entered it yet but im hoping they will before nesting season is over.

The house looks sturdy and is now hanging in my tree waiting for wrens to move in. My only complaint is I will have to unscrew a section in order to clean it out. It says easy to clean, but to me that means able to open without using tools. And as I just hung it up, I have no idea if the wrens will like it or not.

The description is very misleading. Line 1 states, “set of 4 hanging wren houses…” There's only ONE per order, not FOUR! 
While the house appears to be very well made, and it has the “Audubon” name on it, it is probably worth the $30. 
HOWEVER, if you promise FOUR, you should deliver FOUR, or CORRECT your description.

This is a cheap knockoff of an Audubon designed Wren house. The stated measurements “6.80 x14.30 X  15.10 inches are actually 6.5 X 5.5 X 9.75 inches. Half the size. It is made of White Pine, not Fir. An overpriced, cheaply made imitation that is not recommended.
