This Outdoor Timer by Woods is truly heavy duty and made to last. I love how easy it is to operate. Just set the time by pointing the arrow at it. Be sure to pick the correct side, AM or PM, make sure all the little levers are in the up position then simply press the levers to the down position during the times you would like it to come on. I am using this for my backyard fountain and the lights that go in the fountain so I definitely needed 2 outlets which this unit has. I have set it to come on early in the morning for a few hours and then in the evening for longer. The other thing that is so great about this timer is the nice flat surface where you plug the cords in. I have another very nice outdoor timer by Woods (4 years outside still working perfect) and was going to get the same one but it has a lip around the plug inserts which would not allow for the square plug that goes to the LED lights in the fountain. Since I really like Woods outdoor timers, I was very happy to find almost the same timer without the lip around it. This outdoor timer is not only so easy to use and takes about 1 minute to set up, it is durable and very well made. The cord is really sturdy and since my other one has lasted so long outside all year round I have every confidence this timer will perform perfectly and last a long, long time. Highly Recommend to all!

Very well made. Durable. Heavy Duty. Simple.

walmart.com

After buying one (and looking at countless other) digital outdoor timers, we finally realized what we really needed was a well-built mechanical version. We are using two of these to power the filter & pumps on our small garden pond. It is simple, and it works. The 12" cord is just long enough to work in our setting; an additional 6" would have been perfect. What may be the most important take-away from this review is that we found it ONLY on WalMart.com, not at Lowes, Home Depot, or even a general internet search! Site to Store, no shipping cost, ready for pickup in less than a week . . . what's not to love??

Sometimes Simple Is Better

This is a good and inexpensive timer you can use indoors or out. Easy to program. I have 2 of them outdoors controlling things I want to operate in the daytime and the other operate in the night.

Good timer, simple to use, water resistant, great

Nice item

I love the design and the multipurpose use, It was easy to set up and use immediately. I am thinking of purchasing another one for insurance.

Fabulous item! I'm thrilled!

I am using one of these on a 5000 BTU window air conditioner and one on a 1/2 hp. lake aeration pump and they work great. Fantastic control with ability to set on or off points every 1/2 hour for every 24 hours. I would highly recommend it.

Works great!

I just needed a timer that could be programmed for twice a day and was capable to run a small portable heater for about 3 hours in the morning and evening. It was just what I needed at a decent price and accepts 2 plug ins for 3 prong plugs (ground).

Got what I was needing

Nice timer, easy to program and seems to be protected from the elements. I'm using it for outdoor lighting. The only thing that might improve it would be a dusk to dawn setting. However, it has the ability to set the timer to go off and on more than once in a 24 hour period, which could save some energy. I like it.

Nice timer, easy to program

Only reason I don't give it 5 starts is that the numbers need to be easier to see. I wear glasses and even with my glasses on the numbers are hard to see. Maybe if they were black instead of green it would help.

Good inexpensive timer

It was nice to ahve 2 grounded outlets to use, but the design could be better.
there is no mounting holes on the back so after you plug it in it hags in such a way that the plug ends up facing up, instead of being under the timer.
would have been better if the plugs were on the side instead of the bottom where the cord exits.

Good, but could be Better
