It's the perfect scoop for bird seed and also deicer.  Fits in 5-gallon pails and allows for easy scooping. (unlike longer handled bird seed scoops that you can't scoop and remove seed with, without the handle jamming against the bucket walls). This scoop is made of sturdy plastic that won't crack or break.

The handle is a little awkward, but that's at least partly functional as it is meant to be used as a bag clip. (That said, the opening at the top of the handle is perplexing, and occasionally vexing, as it's too easy for whatever you're scooping to enter and potentially, eventually, spill.)  I find it slightly difficult to maneuver with my small, overly-flexy hands and wrists, but I doubt most grown people would. In fact, we liked it well enough to buy a second. 

The plastic seems decent, but I don't feel 100% confident if it won't eventually become a little brittle. (It doesn't feel cheap, just resiny.)

It's also cute to the point of being precious.

What a scoop

This is nice for scooping bird seed and filling my feeder.  The clip to close the bird seed bag is not very useful - it's slot is too wide and pops off easily.  It does make a nice handle.
