[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a second collection featuring plenty of cartoons from the Walter Lantz studios - not just a ton of Woody Woodpecker, but lots of more obscure cartoons including several fun musical Swing Symphonies, a selection of Cartune Classics, some early (post-Disney) Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoons, and some solid Chilly Willy and Andy Pandy shorts to round things out.  This is a DVD set, not Blu-Ray, but the transfers appear to be taken from 35mm negatives or good masters, no complaints about the quality.  There are some rare extras included as well - a couple of Lantz TV pilots and a complete episode of his Woody Woodpecker Show as packaged for television.  Lantz survived in a tough industry, rarely leading or innovating but always producing quality theatrical animation, and even some of the later films with more limited animation can be very funny (Niagara Fools is a personal favorite). A great price for three discs chock full of well-produced cartoons.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually liked volume 2 Much better than volume one. In volume one Woody's character had not fully developed to the one I would come to love. In volume one Woody's early persona was more of a dehumanized jerk, a nuisance if you will (IMO). While the latter Woody in volume 2 had a more accessible and relatable character, still a pest, though, but not without context. The writing became WORLDS better in volume 2. I love the extra's too! They give you a pretty in depth tour of an animation studio and it's inner workings. The other cartoons were a nice excursion into the Walter Lantz universe. Lastly, the bonus feature took me back to the days of my youth. My suggestion, Purchase and if you are TRUE fan, you WILL enjoy.
