[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a convenient device to use when checking the output of an outlet. 

I'm not an experienced electrician, but I do know my way around a few things. That being said, I found this particular device to be quite accurate. 

I tried multiple outlets in my home, as well as, a couple different setups. I found that having just the base outlet gave the best reading. 

The device is easy to use and compact enough to just carry in a pocket if that's what you require. The attached sticker indicates what to look for and is legible and easy to understand. 

The light indicators work great. Match up the lights to the attached sticker on the device to see what your outlet is putting out. Quite simple indeed. 

All in all, I had no issues or problems arise from using this device. It worked just as I thought and how it was described.

I am a huge proponent of safety and having this is my tool bag is that extra level of safety. I also was having an issue with an air conditioner in my garage and I used this tool and it turns out the outlet was bad! Very very helpful.

Makes life easy!

Therefore, I need everything I can use to make sure I don't get "bit". My dad laughed at me the other day when I asked him to come over to teach me how to change a plug in my bedroom and I used the circuit tester to make sure I killed the right breaker. Sure enough, I didn't and the tester saved me from being stupid. This is just nice to have around the house for anyone looking to simple electrical upgrades without years of experience. At the end of the day, why not use it?
