Can be well-padded and durable, but may also be prone to water absorption and tearing.

Straps have thick cushioning for comfort.

Fit my 30L barrel perfectly. Was surprised how comfortable the harness was to wear, held up a full barrel of food for a weekend camping. Good quality for the money.

Good quality product , straps are well padded and sewing for the harness is strong and durable , really like the construction

Very well made, paddings are thick, straps are strong and easy to use. Great product at a great price.

Camping barrel harness

So far, we've used it on 6 portages and it's comfortable and seems to be holding up well.

This barrel harness is well strapped to hold the barrel for portages, grabbing and pulling to get it in and out of the canoe, everything stays in place

North 49 Barrel Harness

Just what i needed to carry my 30L barrel across the gnarly Portages in algonquin park.
The only negative is that the waist straps have a tendency to soak up water like a sponge. The price was the better than other online stores.

Great 30L barrel Harnes

Great harness, easy to attach rope to hang in trees and seems nice to be able to portage. Did not do long protage with yet, so can't say how comfy the straps are.

good quality

Fit my 30L barrel perfectly. Straps were noce and cushy, made carrying the barrel much more convenient and comfortable. However, literally the 1st time donning with a loaded barrel, I tried tightening the waist strap and the buckle broke. Just cracked right in half!! So, I couldn't really tighten the waist belt sufficiently to allow the waist belt to actually function- all weight essentially on my shoulders. Good thing the shoulder straps are well padded! All other construction is really good, the the buckles are terrible!

Mixed review

Strap tore after carrying the barrel over the first 130m portage I used it on.  Had to hand carry my food barrel for the rest of the trip.  Complete garbage.
