Gas-like performance without all the drawbacks of gas. That’s what the Worx 40V Power Share 14” Cordless Chainsaw gives you. We’ve doubled the volts of our standard Power Share tools and made a chainsaw powered by two 20V batteries. Double the run time and upgraded performance but still with cordless convenience and without the smell or expense of gasoline.

We’re able to achieve this on account of the saw’s high-efficiency brushless motor. It’s more durable and uses less battery than a motor based around a brush design. It spins the 0.043” gauge chain, with a 3/8” pitch, at 26ft/s. So you’ve got all the power you need to perform every regular chainsaw job. Cut 26” diameter logs on the ground or 13” diameter trees that are still standing, for instance. Auto-tensioning and auto-oiling systems keep the bar and chain running at peak performance throughout the entire life of this tool. And on-board battery charge indicators, and oil-tank markings, let you know when you’ll need to recharge or refill the oil. Plus, the quick-stop chain brake adds an extra level of safety to this saw, so you’ll know you can always shut it down at a moment’s notice.

Worx saw is great for me to use on my farm. 
No worrying about gas, cords or getting my husband to find the time to help.  I can do it myself. And price was good. I cleaned up a whole shelter belt with this saw after a bad storm. 6 trees down and many limbs. All the Worx's tools a great.

I'm a recently widowed mother of 8. When there are fallen trees/limbs to clean up on the property after storms, I can't make the gas powered chainsaw start or run. This has caused me no end of tears and frustration. I was delighted with this chainsaw!! The first time I used it, I had more fun than a grown woman should have! I cut limbs for an hour. It cut through everything like butter, without splattering gas and oil, without threatening to die and not start again. I dont normally leave reviews, but I love this tool! My son initially laughed at it, but he had no idea how it would get the job done!.

Delighted

My wife and I are in 'make life as easy as possible' mode aka 'nearing retirement'. I have an 18" gas chainsaw and a 10" corded electric chainsaw that came with a pole. Both are considerably heavier than the Worx 14" cordless chainsaw we just bought. At 10 pounds its easier to use, power is abundant and it takes the hassle out of tightening and lubricating the chain. The power charging station it comes with is designed to be mounted to the wall just like the one I got with my trimmer/edger all those years ago. I have the charging stations in the shed to be plugged into the outlet and light I have in there. Its a great setup. This is my 4th Worx product (trimmer/edger, snowblower, blower/vac) and now the chainsaw. I would not keep buying Worx products if they didn't work well. I am pretty demanding of the tools I purchase.

Set for the Future

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great saw; have WORX lawnmower and been very pleased. Uses the same battery packs, so very convenient. Impressed with lightness, power, and battery life. No gas/oil, spark plugs, other things to deal with to maintain other saws, just bar oil.

vary well made

Seems to do pretty good.  Chain pops off instantly when cutting small stuff that is maybe an inch in diameter but my husband says they all do that with small stuff.  It's easy to put back on. So far everything else about it is great.

This saw has lots of power. Batteries don't last long as I think they should ,but they recharge fast. I have to manually tension the chain. Auto tension does not work. I would make the purchase again for the price.

I had an older chainsaw die on the job so went ahead and picked this worx 14" model up in a pinch to replace it.  Right out of the box (adding b+c oil first) and using some 5AH Pro batteries I already have, I went back to jobsite and was very satisfied with the performance of this saw.

Works great for clearing storm tree damage

Not the strongest little saw and doesnt last long. however i bought it to cut fallen branches and trees to start a fire when caming and it works perfect for what i need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this piece of junk, from this site, for some small work around the yard. What a disappointment. It was dead On Arrival. Read the directions before use and charged the batteries. At least that part works. I checked the chain installation before using. Could not get the chain or chain drive to turn or move at all. First time I tried to use is nothing happened. 
This is a piece of junk. One good point was the delivery time was exceptional. 
Since it is Sunday, could not even get any product support.
Maybe I can use the batteries in my other 20v Worx products, trimmer, edger and blower. All fo which work fine.
