Gas-like performance without all the drawbacks of gas. That’s what the Worx 40V Power Share 14” Cordless Chainsaw gives you. We’ve doubled the volts of our standard Power Share tools and made a chainsaw powered by two 20V batteries. Double the run time and upgraded performance but still with cordless convenience and without the smell or expense of gasoline.

We’re able to achieve this on account of the saw’s high-efficiency brushless motor. It’s more durable and uses less battery than a motor based around a brush design. It spins the 0.043” gauge chain, with a 3/8” pitch, at 26ft/s. So you’ve got all the power you need to perform every regular chainsaw job. Cut 26” diameter logs on the ground or 13” diameter trees that are still standing, for instance. Auto-tensioning and auto-oiling systems keep the bar and chain running at peak performance throughout the entire life of this tool. And on-board battery charge indicators, and oil-tank markings, let you know when you’ll need to recharge or refill the oil. Plus, the quick-stop chain brake adds an extra level of safety to this saw, so you’ll know you can always shut it down at a moment’s notice.

Worx saw is great for me to use on my farm. 
No worrying about gas, cords or getting my husband to find the time to help.  I can do it myself. And price was good. I cleaned up a whole shelter belt with this saw after a bad storm. 6 trees down and many limbs. All the Worx's tools a great.

I'm a recently widowed mother of 8. When there are fallen trees/limbs to clean up on the property after storms, I can't make the gas powered chainsaw start or run. This has caused me no end of tears and frustration. I was delighted with this chainsaw!! The first time I used it, I had more fun than a grown woman should have! I cut limbs for an hour. It cut through everything like butter, without splattering gas and oil, without threatening to die and not start again. I dont normally leave reviews, but I love this tool! My son initially laughed at it, but he had no idea how it would get the job done!.

vary well made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Never thought I would use an electric chainsaw but, this one is great. With the two 20V batteries I can use with other Worx tools it is great. Uses the same battery as my trimmer and with the new one hour double charger I am never in need of power. It is always right there. Don't have pull my arm off trying to start it like the gas powered one that I had. This is the best saw and it will cut anything that I have. Use a fire place in the winter and this will keep the wood coming.

excellent chainsaw

I used the 14” worx saw today got the first time cutting 8” plus oak wood.  The saw worked great, very pleased .  I need another set of batteries in order to have longer cutting time.

Retired

Seems to do pretty good.  Chain pops off instantly when cutting small stuff that is maybe an inch in diameter but my husband says they all do that with small stuff.  It's easy to put back on. So far everything else about it is great.

This saw has lots of power. Batteries don't last long as I think they should ,but they recharge fast. I have to manually tension the chain. Auto tension does not work. I would make the purchase again for the price.

I had an older chainsaw die on the job so went ahead and picked this worx 14" model up in a pinch to replace it.  Right out of the box (adding b+c oil first) and using some 5AH Pro batteries I already have, I went back to jobsite and was very satisfied with the performance of this saw.

Works great for clearing storm tree damage

Not the strongest little saw and doesnt last long. however i bought it to cut fallen branches and trees to start a fire when caming and it works perfect for what i need.

Avoid. Saw began leaking oil after a few months, worsened over time. Now after 3 years the electric components are fouled by the oil oozing around inside the case. Switches, controls, terminals covered in oil. Cause looks to be a the poor seal around the rubber tube leaving the oil tank. The tube itself is degraded but the rubber grommit is ok, so there is a small gap. Worx response is to empty the oil after each use. Super super lame now my chainsaw is garbage due to design fault. Glad I didn't buy into the system.
