When stationary the foot print is relatively small. Heavy box, open in garage, take parts to the assembly area (heavy and cumbersome) once together. Assembly is easier with two people, not too technical.

The deciding factor in my decision to purchase was it's ability to be an elliptical, a stepper, or a treadmill. And after having it for a month now, I can honestly say it is the smoothest, best machine I have ever worked out on. And the I-Fit subscription makes each workout session so entertaining. Very nice machine and I'm glad I bought it.

Nordic Track X16 Elliptical is a fabulous machine

I have trouble with my knees and walking/running would hurt, and I would take a break and the cycle would start again. The elliptical allows me to put my legs and arms without straining my knees. I didn't think I would want the iFit training programs, but those have actually helped me workout out everyday. It's a big investment, but I'm on 20 days straight of working out 20-30 minutes each day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the versatility of the stride. I'm 6'3 and wife is 5'9 and it works well for both of us. Ifit makes it really fun to use with the guided workouts that adjust incline and speed automatically.

Versatile machine!

We've had one issue in the past year of ownership, one of the rubber belts frayed to the point that it had to be replaced. The part was still under warranty and NordicTrack made the whole process easy.

Great purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine itself is great. It is worth paying the money to have the team do the set up, it would have been way too complicated to do on my own. The machine is slightly taller than anticipated, so not good for rooms with low ceiling heights. My biggest drawback is that the iFit video is not as intuitive as I would have hoped for a subscription model. I think the machine does not have enough "easy to use" offline programs of intervals, etc. so make certain that you have good Wi-Fi access.

Excellent Home machine,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this machine. It is super smooth and quiet. It's best feature is the free moving stride, allowing your stride to increase or decrease automatically based on the user, your speed, and how you want to move at the time.

So why 4 stars and not 5? To be fair, for me and the way I use it, it's a perfect 5. But I'm a bit older these days and don't run as fast as I used to. I like to run at a pace around 4mph, pushing it up to around 6mph when sprinting. My old self, would have pushed both those speeds up 2 to 3 mph. And that's where this machine falls down. Anything much over 6mph, no matter how I try to shorten my stride or adjust my technique, and the stride goes too long, banging into the base like a drum.

So. . . if you're happy running 6mph or under, like me. . . You will absolutely LOVE this machine! I do!. If you are someone who likes to really open up the speed on a regular basis, then I can't recommend it for you.

I love it, it's perfect at my workout speeds of 4mph to 6mph!

I bought this so I could do elliptical and my wife could do treadmill, when research it doesn't say anything about it is just a motion change. I thought you would use a selection but to change the motion. So now in the middle of using you lose the motion you were doing. And now I find out I cannot pair my IPhone to it to listen to meetings I have recorded. SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE SOLE MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're buy a elliptical don't buy this and you cannot pair your phone to it either.

The elliptical makes a lot of noise, on triage fly wheel was broken. Attempted to have the “service” team repair it. Worked for 2 days, now the creaking is worse. Appears to have major problems with flywheels per the repair tech. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Still waiting for them to repair!
