Design

Love that this case fully encloses the tissue box, from the bottom as well. Looks and feels like a premium product. If taking tissues out of the original box, this case works well, but the tissues do not stand upright (they lay flat). I am purchasing a flatter tissue box, so that hopefully I can place the entire box inside this case, and have the tissues remain upright.

They work exactly as intended and look fantastic doing it. Not having to look at the hideous designs on tissue boxes in my living room and bedroom anymore is simply delightful.

Exactly what I was looking for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For anyone who uses triple-ply tissues, even though there are only 110 in a box, the box is too big to fit in this. Wish I had thought of the fact that the tissues I use are 50% thicker than regular ones and gone for the larger size.

Go bigger for 3-ply tissues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to give thus five stars because it is so smart looking. But my large Kleenex box is several millimeters too high for it and the wood floats on top of the Kleenex box! I could take the tissues out and load this up, bur then, as the tissues go down, the woodland would descend. Not the end of the world. But I really wanted a simple box that I could put my full Kleenex tissue box into.

Too small for large Kleenex boc

Because the lid is sitting on top of a pile of tissues and not an actual tissue box, the lid doesn't fit nicely on top of the box which gives it a kind of messy look. Also, the description says it is supposed to fit 160-200 tissues but I was not able to fit 160 tissues at once. I think with this product Yamazaki missed the mark. The lid gets misplaced every time you remove a tissue.

Great if it's what you're looking for. Just be aware that this box is too short to hold a standard rectangular Kleenex box. The wooden top of the box does not sit atop the frame but inside it and so will lower as the number of tissues decreases. Nice box, just not what I was looking for.

Know what you're getting

I love getting rid of the branded box and the clean look, however, the standard tissue box is too big and tissues have to be removed first. Each time I get a tissue the top makes a noise clanging against the side of the metal box. It's. Little thing but I feel it would be better if It were slightly deeper to accommodate the tissue box. But I still like it.

Top isn't sturdy

I like how this looks, and I like that I put a partial box of tissue in it. The bad news is the black coating is giving off a really toxic, nasty chemical smell. As I reach the bottom of the pile of tissues, each one smells more and more like turpentine or paint thinner. Since I'm taking the tissue and using it on my face, this toxic smell makes me very uncomfortable. I'm not sure it's safe to use.
