Instructions

Towed a motorcycle from eastern PA to Colorado using this motorcycle carrier and it was awesome. No problems when hitting potholes, high winds, etc. Bike stayed in place and rear tire was like new when we got there. Took a spare tire along just in case, but didn't need it. Tow vehicle was a Nissan Murano.

Only got to use it once. Scary at first, but it's good for a short haul or emergency. My new bike is over 800 lbs and will not take the chance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works. To address a few concerns from previous negative comments: 
1. The slide will gouge the coating and bind. Apply a liberal coating of grease and it works fine.
2. Bikes falling over. The straps provided are not "the best", but they work to strap the wheel to the carrier. The additional key is to stabilize the entire front fork. Strap the handlebars (i use ratchet steaps) the same way you would when hauling in a trailer or bed of pickup. But compress the front shocks a tad more. The bike will lean on turns but with preload on the shocks it pops right up. 
3. Be aware there is a good amount of weight suspended to the rear of your axle. Light vehicles may have the steering "float" a bit. 
Overall, I'm happy. It works well with my medium sized adventure motorcycle with  19 inch front rim and big knobby tires. Also takes some practice, but to me it's worth it for easy transportation with a trailer.

It works

Poor directions but not rocket science to put together. Haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Directions?

1.  Looks nice
2. There were no assembly instructions.  
3. Four bolts, all of the linkage pivots, were too short.
4. Weld was left in the inside of the tube that slides on the other tube.  (causes excessive friction and damage to mating piece.)
5. Answers by vendor were not pertinent.  Suggest that the vendor didn't understand the questions.
6. Nice paint job
7. Bearing surfaces were painted - unfortunately.  (paint, especially soft paint, is a poor bearing surface.)
8. Both 'pins' were of the same length.  Was suppose to have one large and one small. 
8. Design does not allow the use of the foremost adjustment hole for the rocker.  (Rocker interferes with the braces.)
9. Rocker supports vehicle by the side wall of the tires rather than the tread.

Looks nice but needs some work on detail design

Got it for my Kawasaki. 
1. In the low position it is 5" from the ground on my Ford explorer.
2. The front wheel does not fit in the chock.
3. After moving the bolts to fit the front wheele, the bike was wabeling badly. Very dangerous to drive it.
Do not buy it for a motorcycle. Maybe a scooter.

Bad design. Very dangerously tow.

The assembly instructions were hard to read (and minimal), to say the least. I was only able to put it together by looking at the image on the box. I was never able to get the lever to work properly. In the end, I ended up renting a trailer from Uhaul.

Not worth the trouble

item arrived previously used, scratched up and missing the proper number of parts. I will be returning it to the store and purchasing a different brand.
