I'm Stephen King's number one fan (ha). Anything he comes out with is great. I especially love his short stories bc on some of his novels he tends to get off subject and rambles on and on. Not so with the short stories - he grabs you in the first few pages and drags you thru the horror right to the end.  These stories did not disappoint.

Stephen is STILL King of the short stories!

My favorite author is Stephen King, and while he is best known for his novels, he is excellent at short stories and novellas.  There is a good mix in this collection.  My favorite shorts don't even involve horror…just a real-life, simple story.  I love a good story!

I DO “Like It Darker”!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been looking for that book since I first heard about itl  Wal-Mart had the best price.

It is a collection of short stories and a bit of a mixed bag. 1 story was way to slow and didn't get interesting until 3/4 through it. 3 other stories were meh. 2 stories were amazing and alone worth getting this book for reading them. 3 of the other stories were really good. And the remaining short stories in the book were decent. It is worth getting but if you are only getting one short story collection book by King,  you would be be better off getting skeleton crew or night shift.

OK but not as good as his other short story books

my wife loves Stephen King so I bought it for her Christmas she hasn't started reading it yet but I know she loves Stephen King and so she'll love this book

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As prolific as King is, not everything is going to be a grand slam.  There's some interesting pieces in this collection but this doesn't stack up to prior short story collections "Everything's Eventual" or "Skeleton Key." But if you're a King fan, you'll still appreciate this as another piece in his expansive library.

It's fine if you're a die-hard King fan

I used to love to read Stephen King's books but the last one I read was "It" and it was a very long book with a lot of fillers in it. This book is a bunch of short stories that seem like they were his thoughts that he didn't have enough of a story line to make a full book out of. Most short stories in this book didn't even make since to me. In fact it was so bad I still had 4 more short stories left to read and I gave up on finishing  the book. I can't  remember when the last time was that i did not finish a book. You Like it Darker is not worth the money!!!!

Very disappointed as I am a Stephen King fan
