I was skeptical at purchase buying this brand on Walmart.com. BUT, I am so glad that I did! This perfume is ligit- it is REAL. You cannot beat this price for YSL. The scent is amazing and last all day, this has became my new Go-To almost daily! Ladies, GO GET THIS! You will not be disappointed.

Back in the 80's I had tried on my friends Opium (original) fragrance. It smelled lovely on her but like pepper on me! 

Therefore, coming from the Opium fragrance family I thought Black Opium was unlikely to suit me either. I was wrong. 

From the first spray I loved it! I'm not very good at describing scents but to me it has a musky, slightly oriental vibe. I wore it during the day but I think it would be a lovely evening fragrance too. 

I think I may have to revisit the other Opium fragrances...

Sexy fragrance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I never usually look at the YSL perfumes but this one is beyond amazing. Such a sophisticated smell and the packaging is really perfect. I needed a push to go a bit more sophisticated than I usually do and this one is really gorgeous. 

The textured bottle with the glass circle in the middle is classy. The matte box with The subtly sparkly YSL and the rose gold is really sophisticated.

All in all I would defo say buy it. It smells gorgeous and looks gorgeous. And who wouldn't want a gorgeous perfume on their shelf. It is definitely worth displaying.

Stunning packaging and beautiful scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using YSL Black Opium for a month now and am delighted with it's staying power. I wanted a perfume that would last but also not too heavy as I don't like a heavy fragrance in the summer months. Black Opium (despite it's name!) is ideal as it has ‘staying power' but is a fresher, more citrus fragrance than the usual Opium by YSL. Has the usual vanilla notes too and not overpowering-I'm loving the intense yet fresh fragrance of Black Opium

Ideal for warmer days

Is she kind of basic?Yes. Do I love her? Also yes. I really can't help but enjoy this scent. The almond, coffee and licorice combo are so delicious and rich. It's such a great going-out/date night scent. I can see why it's not for everyone, but if you like a sweet and sexy gourmand you'll really love Black Opium

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly the packaging - eye catching and classy box and bottle. A heady intoxicating fragrance with notes of black coffee and white flowers.  A sensual and heady perfume that in my opinion is a ‘dark' fragrance more suited to an evening due to deep, vanilla and musky notes.  A bold perfume with a big personality.

Exquisite fragrance

The sprayer leaks and gets everywhere when you try to put it on. Mine smells a bit funky not quiet right and does not last all day. I do enjoy it but i feel like i need to put a ton on throughout the day

Not worth it

I think this item I bought was fake.  The smell doesn't last long .  I would  be very leery of purchasing this type of item on this platform.  Just beware of who is selling this item.  I'm very disappointed.

Fake Item

The companynia refusing to publish my review despite the fact that it meets all guidelines.
The perfume stains, this is fact, customers assume the glass is orange its not its the perfume that contains dye. There is no warning to customers it will stain clothing. I am not the only customer who has experienced this issue. But if they cherry pick the reviews Im not surprised people are buying the perfume and ruining clothing.

Stains clothing

The  perfume leaked I'm sure it was refilled with mostly water with a small amount of perfume.  I tossed it out a waste of 88.00. I was so disappointed.
