The Z-Grip Elite is a great pen. The ink system is as good as advertised and it produces bold, solid lines. And it provides smooth, effortless writing. There aren't many other ballpoint pens I'd rate above it, and it blows away the Zebra F-301 and F-402. The only thing holding me back from giving it a five star rating is the ink doesn't dry very quickly. It does take some time to dry, and it will smear if you slide your hand across it several seconds after writing something down. And the rubber grip cushion can be annoying if you write for long periods of time. The grip may leave an indent on your finger, depending on how you hold a pen. I believe the Elite uses the same grip as the basic/standard Z-Grip pen. It would have made sense to upgrade both the barrel and the grip on the Elite. It's not a huge problem, though. For a quick fix, I unscrewed the tip of my pens and flipped the rubber pad around. Now the grips are on top and they don't bother me as much as before.
