I used to be extremely picky and still kinda am about bars of soap for bathing hygiene. But with the cost of soap anymore , I don't see how anyone can regularly afford some of the other brands especially with a family. For the past few years I've been continually buying between the  dove, caress, lever 2000, and olay brands routinely. But I've noticed the bar soap doesn't lather well, and as for the longevity of the product I would only get a few uses before it seemed to just melt away faster than I've ever seen. Not to mention my skin would be dry, and still not feeling satisfied with the feeling of cleanliness. I grabbed zest because of the price and tried it out. I have been pleasantly surprised, and quite impressed considering it's literally half the price of the other brands. I feel it really lathers, effectively cleans, and doesn't irritate my skin at all. Also, the amount of uses that I can get from one bar of zest soap vs. ANY of the others, is absolutely incredible. I am no longer just flushing the money down the drain with the other brands. Where an 8 pack of the bars of soap in the leading brands would last me what seemed like maybe 3 weeks, zest surely lasts a month and a half-2 months before I have to replace buying another pack of 8. There is zero soap residue left on my skin, and I feel so clean after using it. The coconut shea one is wonderful as well! Way to go zest. Thank you for keeping your customers in mind with your product quality, ingredients, and economical pricing that surely sets zest above the rest. It's not a question any more of which brand to try or choose.  I automatically choose zest without ever doubting the product quality and price which is completely opposite of how it used to be for me.

I always buy this brand, great value per bar of soap. If you are super stinky it could cling to the bar of soap if you're not using a wash cloth to lather up first. If you do use a wash cloth then you have no problem with the scent lasting. It smells clean and doesn't add much soap scum to the shower walls like other brands can. Highly recommend!

Love it, will keep buying

Zest Deodorant Bar Soap is one of the most inexpensive deodorant bar soaps available.  It's cost per ounce makes it one of the best value buys for bar soap.  It costs about 16 cents per ounce.  It has a powerful, fresh scent and cleans like soap should.  It has a funky shape but is easy to grip; lathers reasonably well and rinses clean.  I couldn't find any negatives using this soap.

Like the product  but hate paying so much more for continuously shrinking bars of soap!  Looking for better options.  It's a shame how poorly brands treat their customers these days.  $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Continuous price increases and product shrinkage.

This is one of my favorite bar soaps.  I have been using it for years.  Walmart always seems to have the best price on it.  It seems to not melt as fast as some of the other leading brands.

Zest is such a great value because the bars are bigger than most brands but still cost way less. The refreshing clean scent actually sticks with you for a long time, so you stay smelling fresh long after your shower. It builds up a decent amount of lather and makes me feel clean. It  doesn't leave a gross film behind.  Bars last a long time even with showering daily.

This is my bar soap of choice, that I know can get  me clean-clean. After a shower I rub the skin to see if I can roll up any residue that was left behind. This soap passes the test every time -- no film of soap on the skin. Coast and Irish Spring fails

Does The Job

I switched back from liquid soap to bar soap because liquid soap (the cheap variety) kept drying out my skin because I think it's harder to wash off. I don't seem to have the dryness problem with this bar soap. Of course, every soap has it's issues and bar soap gets messy in the dish and also I've noticed clogs up my drains faster - necessitating a clean out with the long plastic rod with the little hooks on it every couple of months. Not fun! So if you have to go with a bar soap, this one seems to be easy on the skin.

Easy on the skin

My skin is very alert it knows when one of my hairs on lay leg is not in sync with the rest. I have to shower after everything I do including before bed. I am a spooner and sleep with a pillow between my legs so my skin isn’t on my own skin. I used Caress my whole 45 years and just realized that Caress isn’t good in the long run only Dove is a real moisturizer. I tried the “new” Zest and I like it I just don’t like the film it leaves behind and when my skin rubs on my partner it feels sticky and starts to perspire. I will keep trying your new stuff even Irish Spring has better new stuff. Sorry.

It’s good just not for me.

I got the zest soap because it was affordable. now that I'm using it I wish I spent a little more money. there is absolutely no lather! without exaggeration I shouldn't say absolutely none, very little however! this is quite unbelievable. a whole bar of soap I believe I got an eight pack. what a waste!
