Zest Deodorant Bar Soap is one of the most inexpensive deodorant bar soaps available.  It's cost per ounce makes it one of the best value buys for bar soap.  It costs about 16 cents per ounce.  It has a powerful, fresh scent and cleans like soap should.  It has a funky shape but is easy to grip; lathers reasonably well and rinses clean.  I couldn't find any negatives using this soap.

Zest is such a great value because the bars are bigger than most brands but still cost way less. The refreshing clean scent actually sticks with you for a long time, so you stay smelling fresh long after your shower. It builds up a decent amount of lather and makes me feel clean. It  doesn't leave a gross film behind.  Bars last a long time even with showering daily.

Clean refreshing smell

This exceeded my expectations. It definitely does not feel like a low priced/budget brand. Good lather and scent. After using Zest, there’s just no going back to other brands. This just makes you feel very clean and ready for the day. Even if it cost a lot more I would still buy it.

Good quality

Been using this for a long time.  My perception is that it keeps the shower and me cleaner than traditional soaps.  The body wash liquids seem expensive and wasteful although I do offer both to guests. Wish that they still offered a variety of scents and larger bars.

I panicked when it looked like Zest might be taken off the market and stocked up.

My Preference

This is my bar soap of choice, that I know can get  me clean-clean. After a shower I rub the skin to see if I can roll up any residue that was left behind. This soap passes the test every time -- no film of soap on the skin. Coast and Irish Spring fails

Does The Job

I switched back from liquid soap to bar soap because liquid soap (the cheap variety) kept drying out my skin because I think it's harder to wash off. I don't seem to have the dryness problem with this bar soap. Of course, every soap has it's issues and bar soap gets messy in the dish and also I've noticed clogs up my drains faster - necessitating a clean out with the long plastic rod with the little hooks on it every couple of months. Not fun! So if you have to go with a bar soap, this one seems to be easy on the skin.

Easy on the skin

My skin is very alert it knows when one of my hairs on lay leg is not in sync with the rest. I have to shower after everything I do including before bed. I am a spooner and sleep with a pillow between my legs so my skin isn’t on my own skin. I used Caress my whole 45 years and just realized that Caress isn’t good in the long run only Dove is a real moisturizer. I tried the “new” Zest and I like it I just don’t like the film it leaves behind and when my skin rubs on my partner it feels sticky and starts to perspire. I will keep trying your new stuff even Irish Spring has better new stuff. Sorry.

It’s good just not for me.

Disappointed - Different Soap inside the same brand package. I’ve been buying this soap bar which is usually green in color  for years now and usually love it, but this time I was really disappointed. The soap inside the package was a different color of white and the scent than what’s shown on the box. It looks like the manufacturer changed the formula or swapped in a different variety, even though the packaging was the same. I bought it expecting the usual fragrance and texture, but this one feels and smells completely different. I hope Walmart or the brand fixes this issue soon — consistency really matters for regular customers.

Different soap inside same brand package!

The two packages of 8 bars of Zest Aqua Soap I just purchased are horrible. The soap is not the nice bright blue green color and there is no refreshing scent. Did they package a different type of soap in the aqua packaging? I read other reviews with similar complaints. Why hasn't this been fixed? Very unhappy and dissapointed. Bring back the great Aqua Zest soap.
