I installed the Zline 30 as back discharge, free hanging unit.  The hardest part was getting the chimney ready.  I used a flexible, aluminum duct to connect to the chimney pipe.  Oh, holding the vent hood on the wall while screwing it to the wall by myself wasn't much fun.  Probably should have hired some help.

We just installed this in our newly renovated kitchen. I love the high profile and clean lines.  There are 4 fan settings (none of which are overly loud) and 2 lighting options (front and back).  Overall, very pleased with it.

Looks great and functions well!

I bought this for my new kitchen because I wanted a powerful but nice looking hood that vents outside . It's both,the lights are bright and the sound level even at the highest setting isn't too loud . I love the stainless vent baffles .

Beautiful hood

We bought this hood based on great product reviews and it was an exact fit after removing a 25 year old BEST hood with outside motor mount. Installation was easy but better instructions for the placement for the oil tray and filters would be helpful. The unit performs great on low speed. The LED light is weak so we installed two E26 medium base 50w halogen bulbs in the rear for better lighting.

Great hood for a great price

This is the 3rd hood that I have installed in my kitchen and it's the first one that actually works. Even on the lower fan speeds it captures cooking smoke better than either of my previous two hoods, and the price was very reasonable.
The reason I didn't give five stars is that I am having difficulty finding the correct LED bulb type to put in the heat lamp sockets. I don't want a heat lamp, I am looking for more LED light, but unfortunately Customer Service has left me on my own trying to find the correct bulb. If you can solve that problem for me, you get 5 stars.

This Hood Works!

Solidly built hood.  Nice pro style filters that are easy to remove and clean.  Moves a lot of air when needed with expected level of noise.  Lighting also sufficient to be useful.  Two improvements I suggest.  1 - ship with LED lighting, no need for the energy hungry incandescents.  2 - improve the button size and feel.   They feel cheap - tactility of click poor.  Also size them larger such that when hands are dirty (common when cooking) I can use the back of the hand, or a hand in an oven mitt, and still turn on/adjust.
