My 3 yr old daughter loves to scare everyone with this spider. One morning we woke up and I found the spider in the pancake mix box. Lol. She plays with it everyday since she got it on Christmas.

I purchased this for My 3 year old granddaughter who loves to play with fake bugs. 
And boy does she love It. She has played with this non-stop since I purchased it. 
This walks by itself. It definitely moves similar to a real spider. It is so creepy looking. 
She has been trying to scare other with it. 
This is definitely a great toy for
Kids that like bugs. My cat follows it all over the house trying to get it. It is so funny. 
If I could find others similar to this I would

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a toy that uses the same movement and it just goes in random places. It looks VERY creepy in the dark shadows. It'll freak people out

I've seen a few reviews mad when it dies. REPLACE the battery(s) MOST toys do either need to have batteries replaced...or to be charged. Now, I have bought several of the robo alive toys for my cat. I made him a DIY pond/ drinking fountain using some of the fish which I'm including a picture of the spider by the fish for size comparison( also w a pack of the batteries that happens to be the SAME ones the fish use) cuz for some reason I was expecting it to be bigger... like the snake one but I guess this is more reasonable.  Idk why in my mind I thought it was big but either way I'm happy with the spider. I waste a lot of money buying things to try and please my cat abd he usually could care less about anything.  I bought 4 of the robo fish red, pink, orange and blue and he only ever goes for the blue one which once he pulls it out of the water.. that's it, He's done w it. I bought one of those smart self rolling balls and he actually liked that and he LOVES those badminton birdies but I have to actually PLAY badminton hitting it to him c for him to have interest.  This spider - he loves.  Now the reason I said to please read - IT SAYS IT RIGHT ON THE PACKAGE which I'll also include a picture of - IT TAKES AN A13 /LR44 battery (idk how many yet) -BUT SAME as the fish. To change the battery - look at the bottom of the spider..LIKE THE FISH - you unscrew where the screw is and voila - a battery compartment to change the batteries. I do understand ppl not knowing tho cuz the 1st set of fish i bought did nothing when i put them in the water.  I thought they were duds n send them back.  The next set "died" after a few minutes.  Was ready to send those back when I decided to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and packages...yea, that thing we all skip thinking these are simple enough and self explanatory.  Well...1. They take batteries.... that could need replacing AS SOON AS U GET THEM and so fish may not be "duds" and the reason they stop...well, UNLIKE the spider, they don't have on/off switch so to save battery they AUTO STOP after a few minutes so u gotta trasher them out for a minute then put them back.  I cannot attest to whether the spider glows in the dark or not, the fish are supposed to change color in the water but don't but even if it doesn't glow, it won't be a deal breaker for me.  I really like this Zuru - Robo Alive line.  My cat who I've had just over 10 years.. since just before age 1 was ALWAYS an outdoor cat (10 years) and boy did he hunt, I have videos on my channel - he literally brings his prey home to kill in front of me, his fave being rabbits nearly the same size as him so I try ..I really try to give him that sense of being out/hunting he loved eating grass so I grow him grass. I LOVE the spider - for my cat. It does get caught up on floor board spaces (used it out on the balcony only so far) You do gotta kinda keep redirecting it. PLZ KNOW IT USES BATTERIES THAT DIE. JUST replace them. Just use common sense   dont expect magic.

I didn't give it 5 stars bc the battery doesn't last long! It does say about 35 minutes of battery life on instructions but it did last a bit longer than that. My grandson loves spiders so this is a hit with him but not with everyone else but that's ok I bought it for him to enjoy. He did like it and was having so much fun with it. But make sure you buy batteries and the tiniest screwdriver (good luck trying to find one) to open the battery compartment to replace. The company should supply the screwdriver for it!!

Read before buying!

It's not the same as in picture the one I received is black and red. It's also falsely advertised as it does not “crawl” on you, does not work on carpets or humans needs hard surface. I should've read the reviews before buying. It just vibrates very loudly

I thought there was a way to control it. It doesn't crawl all it does is wiggle in place and moves around a little bit, it stops as soon as it hits something. the tips of the legs are painted red. not like the picture.

bought it for my son. it works but it makes a loud vibration sound that is annoying. but the vibration is how it moves around. it just kinda shakes itself around, the legs dont actually crawl around. wouldn't recommend

wasted money

This is absolute junk. It basically just vibrates. It does not have any realistic action and the legs don't move at all, they're just sticking up in the air. Packing was destroyed to get it out of the plastic but I'm going to try and return it anyway
