After owning Brita filter for years, my husband complained that the water tasted funny and that had me worried. After doing some research I bought this and it's been great. Water tastes great and that it's certified to reduce lead makes me feel better about the water we drink. Compared to Brita, this pitcher with filter is much heavier, however, given that the filter screws in rather than drops in it seems more sturdy. Also it takes longer to filter water but that's understandable given that the filter is much larger.

ZERO WATER IS THE BEST, I TRIED THE REST. FILTERS COST MORE, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! IF YOU WANT 000 IN YOUR WATER, THIS IS YOUR BEST OPTION, THEIR CUSTER SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE!! I USED BRITA FOR OVER 10 YEARS, ZERO WATER TASTES MUCH BETTER. WISH I STARTED WITH ZERO FIRST. OLDER AND WISER NOW. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

I bought several of these 6 cups zero water filter, to also give 2 each to my sons. 2 each?Once the 1st  filter reaches it's max life, it could be use as a pre filter so the 2nd could last longer. 
The tds reading of the water in my area is almost 400 so the 00 reading doesn't stay long after filtering some 20-30 gallons which would come out very expensive. Once I have the 1st as now being used as a pre filter, my 2nd unit last way way longer.
The water taste sweeter, better than commercially sold bottled water. I have had Pur and Brita before, and the taste from the zero water is beyond compare.
There is the 23, 10, 8, and 6 cup capacity which uses the same filter. I have both the 23 and 6. I pack the 6 cup capacity when I travel. I constantly drink water to hydrate and I know exactly where my water come from and is clean.  Thanks Zero Water

Excellent product

Water is my primary beverage so it's important that it tastes great!  My granddaughter has inherited my sensitivity to the taste of water (it truly varies) so I purchased this pitcher for her.  It is the BEST water filtration system that I've come across and I've tried MANY.  You can taste the difference!  It is also the best price value because the filters are accurate and last longer.

Sent filters to be recycled, but never got any of the promised credit.  Never heard anything back.  Sent 2 boxes of 8 filters each.  So was a waste of postage and time.

Zero Water 6 cup Pitcher

Our son-in-law recommended ZeroWater. We got our pitcher shipped fast. We have extra-heavily-chlorinated tap water this year for some reason (God only knows how many other chemicals are in it.) After we filtered it, the smell of chlorine was absent and the water was delicious. My husband and I are sold. I immediately bought a bunch more filters for the longterm. We make our coffee and tea with it. We dilute our canned creamy soups with it. We drink more water now simply because now it's perfectly safe to drink. We make sure when the kids and grandkids are over that they know that well-filtered water is in the fridge, in multiple pitchers. Yes, it takes a few minutes to get enough water filtered for the day's supply, but we multitask really well here. Thank you for your excellent product.

Recommended to us, and we are not disappointed

Obsessed. Since getting this water pitcher, I've actually been drinking a lot more water. I keep it in the fridge and always have clean, cold water ready to go. I do find myself filling it up a lot but I don't mind. I love that it comes with the tester because I always feel like Brita filters get gross and there is no way to be sure. This provides an easy way to tell if your water filter needs to be replaced. Love it.

I got it at a very good price at Walmart. I wish Walmart would make the pitcher's replacement filters cheaper?

I bought this pitcher for my 65+ mom so that she wouldn't have to buy gallons and individual water bottles from the grocery store as often. The pitcher is a good size and the water tastes fine. It is lightweight. The only problems are that the spout is uncovered (seems unhygienic) and the top lid is nearly impossible to grasp and remove when you want to add more water! It seems like other reviewers had the same problem. You can stick a finger in the spout, or use your fingernails for lift the top edges of the lid, or you can glue a handle to the lid. I opted to buy a clear PopSocket handle meant for a cell phone and affixed it to the top of the lid because I didn't want to deal with returning this item in the mail. I would not recommend this item due to the difficulty in removing the lid. It became frustrating very quickly. I especially do not recommend it for the elderly. (I have a different Zero Water pitcher at my apartment. My pitcher is one size larger and we have no issues. It's a nice experience as the spout is covered and the lid is easier to remove. I think it's worth spending a few more dollars for that version.)

Useful but flawed lid

I'm not happy with my zero water. I used the meter that came with it and the water never below 7. It started out reading very high (above 200) and I figured the filter needed to be flushed. As I flushed the filter several times, the reading came down to 100s then below 100 and finally stayed around 50-60 for about a week then started reading around 8-10. I was using the picture on the counter and not in the fridge. Then I noticed it started tasting like mildew. I had to stop using it. I only used it about 2 weeks. I have thoroughly cleaned the picture but now I need a new filter and don't have the money right now. I'm very frustrated that I didn't see anything that said it had to used in the fridge but either way, the meter never read “0” or even below “6”.
