I buy these regularly to meal prep freezer meals! They make like simple. I can put all the ingredients for crock pot meals in the bag and toss it in the freezer. They seal beautifully, are durable, have never leaked, and I have never had an issue with freezer burn. Being able to see into the bag and write on it with permanent marker makes grabbing the days meal out easy!

Meal Prepping Made Easy

I bought recently a whole bunch of different ziplock bags different brands different sizes and there is these SJ Johnson ones with a pink strip at the top that I cannot stand my boyfriend hates them also you can't figure out how to open them and then the slider thing always falls off

Can't open. zipper tops comes off

I use these bags to freeze diced and sliced bell peppers for cooking and salsa to last until next summer. The frozen peppers are fine, but the salsa leaks on some of the bags along the seams. The leaking is made worse after freezing so that while thawing I learned to place the bags onto a plate, so I don't have salsa all over my refrigerator shelf.

Freezer bags leak along sides

– Mindi

What has happened? Your bags, specifically, the expensive, freezer gallon bags, keep breaking at the seal. I've gone to open the bag and end up with a strip of the seal and a closed bag that then becomes nearly impossible to open. Why is this happening?

What gives (other than the opening?)!

I have used these bags for years. The last several boxes, almost every bag, when you open the seal to use the bag, it detaches from the bag (usually the blue side), making the bag unusable. It doesn't matter how careful you open the bag, it detaches. Unfortunately, I buy these multiple boxes at a time, and so far it is not limited to a single box.

Ziploc Freezer Bag locking strips detach from bag when you open to use

The new stand up feature is failing to maintain a secure seal in the freezer. I see air inside the bag at several of the markings of this feature which means it is no longer water tight. These bags are not good for liquids and will not likely survive a wash for reuse.

Less reusable than older styles of these bags.

Perforated lines. It diminishes the integrity. It makes the freezer gallon bags useless for containing food and then freezing it. Why don't you build some boats, poke tiny holes in the boat bottoms, and then cover them in wax paper, sealed with white school glue. Any product testing? Any real people who use freezer bags asked about their thoughts on this? Switching to a different brand now.

I bought a new box of these freezer gallon baggies to put up green beans from our garden and to freeze blanched roma tomatoes until I had enough to make a large batch of sauce. As I thawed them today I discovered all 5 baggies were leaking!!! I don't understand why the two rows of perforations are running across the bottom of every bag. That is where the bags leaked so I'm concerned air is also getting in!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

New perforations cause leaks!

There are two row of what look like perforated holes across the bottom of the bags so they leak. This is the second freezer large sized (mega pack) boxes that have had these. First box was worse. Bought them a month + apart. Is this a defect?

I have used the freezer gallon bags for years and had no issues. The last box I bought, the bags are not sealing, very disappointed the bags are not cheap!
