We use a lot of these bags, so it is very important to me that they are BPA free. Also, the zip works great and the bags do not tear open. Once in awhile you'll get a box with a few defect bags, but that is every brand I have ever bought. Freeze well and keeps food nice when used correctly.

Love this item as you are putting away your groceries I always leave the meats for last . I put them in the bottom shelf of my fridge . Once I'm ready I get out my items that need to be frozen and determine what portion needs to go into quart or gallon freezer bags. Each portion is decided then removed from the packing container that comes from the grocer. I place each serving for my meal I decided to prepare later bag it and place it into the freezer. Remember meat shrivels down while cooking so always take that into consideration when you're portioning your servings.( You might want to add  more ground meat for example ) and bacon I take out my parchment paper unroll approximately 18” inches  l open the bacon package and portion 2 slices vertically on the parchment paper doing that until the whole package is empty. Then I roll the parchment paper in a log , I take out 2 pieces of aluminum foil ( from the box of foil that comes in premeasured sheets 50 sheets/box ) . Lay the foil sheets overlapping each other then place the bacon log onto the foil wrap the foil around the bacon log starting at the bottom of the foil so you hats double layered pack  / outside is the foil inside the parchment paper this log is then placed in freezer . You can take out the portion of bacon you need for your meal then  rewrap your log and return to freezer . You'll never have spoiled bacon again . One time I had to dispose of over a half pound of byacon because it turned moldy.

These are the only types of freezer bags I use! The slider sealer makes them easily sealed, and the quality of the bags keeps the frost away from my food.

Reliable Seal Convenient Kitchen Essentials

I'm an old guy and I have arthritis in both hands I also have carpel tunnel that acts up now and then so I really love that I can just slide these bags open and shut, easy peasy.  I also had cataract surgery not long ago and I need reading glasses to see things close up but I don't have to see anything here it's already lined up all I have to do is slide the little gadget and it's sealed. I like that I can put anything inside these bags including soup. 

If I make a bit pot of soup or chili I'll fill up 2 or 3 bags half way then lay them on a cookie sheet and put them in the freezer once they're frozen I can stack them up on end at the side of the freezer still able to see what's inside and I can pull them out for a fast hot meal. 

I used these every day. I buy a lot of frozen potatoes, fries, tater tots, steak fries that sort of thing and I cut open the bags and drop the contents into one of these bags so I can reseal it as I used it. I can reuse 1 bag 3 or 4 times so for sure I get my moneys worth out of these bags. 

These are really great for lettuce. I wash my head of lettuce and break it apart then I put a folded sheet of paper towel at the bottom of the bag and put my lettuce on top and only seal it 3/4s of the way so the air and moisture doesn't get trapped in with the lettuce and it stays fresh for 4 or 5 days sometimes longer. 

I sued these for left overs, sometimes I put half a loaf of bread in them and stick them in the freezer so it doesn't go bad. If I have a leaky package of meat I slide it in a bag and my fridge stays clean. 

I had one of these half filled with stew and I dropped it on the floor expecting to find stew splattered all over when I looked down but the bag was still sealed and no stew lost.

Easy to use and Reliable.

What can you say about Ziploc bags they are the flagship product.  They work and when on sale I purchase several.  I wish they were on sale more often.

Only because I cannot find a better quality item with thicker plastic sides, and a zipper that doesn't mess up after the second or third use, I do recommend this. The sizes are OK, but I do not like the stand-up bottom as much. It is not as durable as it used to be because with the plate on the bottom you cannot rewash two use again. At these prices you should be able to wash and use for something else.

Good but needs better zipper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wildly underestimated the size of these bags. I know it says 2.5 gallons, but I didn't quite wrap my head around it. I have the size comparison of this bag to a quart bag. I personally prefer the other type of “zip” closure as my husband sometimes zips the zipper off completely then we're screwed. That's a personal thing, though.

OK AS LONG AS THE TAB DOESN'T COME OFF ON THE FIRST TRY TO ZIP IT. THEN YOU HAVE TO THROW THE WHOLE BAG AWAY.. I FEEL THEY COST TO MUCH MONEY FOR THIS TO HAPPEN..  I MIGHT COULD SEE THIS ONCE IN A WHILE BUT IT WAS HAPPENING SO MANY TIMES THAT I DECIDED TO COUNT HOW MANY BAGS I LOST..  OUT OF A BOX OF 50 ZIPLOC FREEZER BAGS I LOST 6 BAGS AND THAT WAS ON THE FIRST TIME ZIPPING THE BAG.. THAT WAS JUST ONE BOX..  I ALWAYS USE A NAME BRAND FOR MY FREEZER BAGS.. I USUALLY USE ZIPLOC..  I GUESS I MIGHT HAVE TO CHANGE..

I usually buy another name brand of bags, but purchased these one gallon freezer bags to try out the Ziplock brand. My husband opened the box and used the first bag and brought to my attention that they didn't close when zipped. We thought it was a fluke and tried another bag. Same thing. The zipper parts of the bag are so shallow, they simply can't close. I compared them to my usual brand bag and it's a pretty significant difference. Are these knockoffs, I wonder?
