Ease Of Use

Ease Of Cleaning

Temperature Control

Build Quality

Allows customized brewing at desired temperatures.

Allows customized temperature control for various uses.

Suitable for various soup types and hot water needs.

Allows for easy cleaning with minimal effort required.

Offers various heating settings for easy control.

This is my third hot water pot for 22 years. It's not a replacement. I bought it for my husband, who enjoys cups of green tea during his workday. But his nearest water source is a 15 minute walk one way. This pot keeps hot water perfect for tea, ramen, soups and other drinks at the touch of his finger. He also sleeps it during the night so as not to waste energy. The dispenser comes in two speed so as not to splash. Overall, my husband could not think of a day without their handy appliance anymore

Perfect office companion

zojirushi.com

I really like this water boiler. It works great, heats water quickly, and is very convenient to use. I am very happy with this purchase and use it every day.

Very good water boiler.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fantastic water boiler and heater. Looks great with plenty of water capacity, but also, you can tell it's designed with quality a d function in mind The swivel base is a nice feature, makes it easy to turn smoothly without jostling the whole machine.
Different temperature settings for your different needs, and even a timer. I like the electric dispensing too and it has a lot of premium features like automatic shut off, dispense lock, and it has leak protection if it gets tipped over!
Water heats up/boils in a flash. This is the ultimate in convenience and efficiency. I love it.

Premium water boiler

How does any household get through the day without a water boiler? Hot water for several purposes saves time and efforts, I have two zogirushi boilers, a 3 liter one for summer and a 4 liter cd-nac40 for fall and winter when more hot water is desired. All regular needs aside, if you brew coffee and/or Japanese green teas the water boiler is indispensable. Prepping and cooking is made sooo much easier with hot water at you fingertips. These boilers are safe for young children to use. PS - I. Purchase only boilers made in japan, Buy one - it's worth every penny! All the best to you and yours.

Most useful kitchen appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew my husband would enjoy using this water boiler and warmer for tea, but I really had not thought about other uses. It is really warm this summer so heating up the house with a tea kettle is out of the question. However, we also can avoid heating up the house boiling water for pasta and other dinner items. This changes everything.
The boiler works amazingly fast. Even when I am running late getting dinner started I can get it done on time.

First off it is super easy to use and holds a lot more water than it looks like it would. Enough to fill up a pot with water for pasta, soup or for the entire family to have tea.

Second, it doesn't radiate the heat into the house. The outside is not hot to the touch. This is amazing for summer but also makes me feel safer that kids and pets can't get hurt if they touch it.

Overall I am very pleased with this. It has made making dinner so much easier and faster, I don't have to wait hardly at all for water to boil anymore. It feels very well made and sturdy and also looks nice so I can leave it on the counter where I use it daily now.

Not just for tea

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Zojirushi products are amazing! This one heats water very quickly. The water tastes clean and crisp (no plasticy scent/flavor).

Amazing!

Received my order sooner than expected! We had the 3.0 liters unit but due to an obsession to keep it clean, the bottom became worn out after 2 years. And after a week of using filtered tap water, the hard water traces on the sides and bottom became evident. It is emptied and wiped dry at night before going to bed. The next day is filled and used regularly; at least once an hour. It gets refilled at least once in a day. We are trying an experiment to just leave the hard water scales around and once a month try the recommended cleaner. We shall see how long it lasts. I wish the engineers would find a material that does not form these hard water traces or at least regularly find a way to get rid of them. The keys to unlock and dispense seems to be in the wrong place, it seems more intuitive / force of habit to press the timer button. So, the button positions were moved. The power cord connection used to be magnetic which was easier to remove and put back. I thought it was a better engineering choice than the current one which requires more to insert it. The removal and insert at least once a day I would think in time this connection can become loose. Overall it is still a reliable unit and I picked this because it seems some effort was made to reduce the amount of known health hazard plastics / rubber used.

Reliable enough

I was disappointed in the power cord. The length of the cord is a little short and limits where you can place it on the counter and also limits the swivel function. In my case, I can't use the swivel function in the location I need to have it. Second, the power cord is not the magnetic type so it requires more effort to plug/unplug it. My previous water boiler had a magnetic type power cord (easy to plug in/unplug which was also a slightly longer length. Third, the Prop65 warning applies to the power cord so it would have been better if the cord could be attached more easily to the boiler (like the magnetic type) instead of having to grip the plug firmly to push the cord in.
The main reason I purchased this model was because it said it was BPA Free on Zojirushi's online store. But I don't see this feature noted on the box it came in nor in the owner's manual.

Power Cord Issue

We love it so far! Also feel safer using this Made in Japan product because of their rigorous material safety and quality standards. The one area of frustration for me is the fact that the timer is not able to be set at exactly a specific time to turn on in the future. Instead it requires the odd increment of hours.(eg turn on 10 hours from now) This means I have to set the timer at the exact time every night before bed on the hour which is frustrating if I forget to do this. Poor interface design and I hope they fix this in future versions

Great product but…

Unlike the older boiler, I can feel the heat outside of the new boiler and it can dent easily.
