Can be sleek and modern, but also criticized for flaws.

Easy to use with straightforward cleaning process.

I bought this rice cooker to reward myself for a new job. I had a Zojirushi that was about 10 years old. The old one worked perfectly fine but I had bought a Zojirushi NL-GAQ10 for a second home and was so impressed with the new Premium setting that I just had to get one to have at our main home. Sure enough, I've already used the NW-JEC10 twice in two weeks and the rice is flawless and delicious. I tried the default White/Normal setting the first time and the White/Softer setting the second time. Next time I will probably go for the White/Softest setting, which I think will be closest to the Premium setting on the NL-GAQ10. Looking forward to many more batches ahead with this beautiful and perfect NW-JEC10!

This is a great quality product. 
It is on the pricier side but it is worth the investment as rice is life for my household. 
This model has many options to make the perfect rice. I have previously tastes rice with and without the pressure in the cooking process and it is noticeably different. You can taste the individual grains of the rice because it has a good firmness and stickiness.

Cooks the perfect rice everytime

I have never been good with rice. I grew up in a home with no rice tradition. I now cook more rice and grains and cook Asian and middle eastern dishes. My rice has been a weak link. Now, I just do what the cooker tells me to do and my rice is fantastic.  My rice is now the star of the dish. It also does killer steel cut oats.  This is a luxury item at a luxury price but I have no regrets.

A great piece of equipment

I never tried a "four-star delicious" cooker by Zojirushi, so I don't have a direct comparison, but I can tell you that this machine makes _noticeably superior_ rice to my old Neuro Fuzzy (which had a mere "three stars delicious" rating). Looks great, too.

Worth it, if you're into that sort of thing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got the smaller Zojirushi 5.5 cup 1L Pressure Induction Heating Rice Cooker NW-JEC10 and have enjoyed cooking both red rice and jasmine rice in less time than our prior cooker, with excellent results; then tried Scottish Porridge Oats, which also came out perfectly. The bowl is thicker and heavier than our prior cooker, so has a very solid feel to it. This cooker is a joy to use plus easy to clean. Further, the heating mode means irregular work hours don't condemn me to cold or overcooked meals when finally arriving home. We even like the newer stand-up rice spoon. Our older larger Zojirushi will gain renewed life handing down to family with kids.  Great products!

Good for Rice and Scottish Porridge Oats

I previously had another Zojirushki rice cooker that one day got up and walked to my daughter's home.  So because I liked it so much I immediately went and purchased this one.  I can tell you it makes great rice and also steel oats.  I especially like the ability to set to timers.  I have one set for the morning and the other for the evening meals.  It also provides so many additional options for rice. It is easy to clean and maintain.  It is expensive and I would be remised if I did not mention that however I do think it is worth the price.

I love this product and my family loves it. Great rice and we cook oatmeal overnight with the timer function so it's ready at breakfast time.

Bought it as a Christmas gift for my partner, but it's really a gift for both of us. We've made all kinds of rice, rice and beans, rice and rolled barley, and it always comes out perfect. I hope it lasts us years.
