10-year-old daughter had been asking for it since September. She saved her money for it. Walmart DID have the best price, and 4 weeks before Christmas had no problem ordering it online (after seeing in store the week before, made the mistake of not buying it then - was gone the following weekend). It was delivered a few days later; my ONLY problem with this is that it said ZOOMERSAURUS in big letters right on the box, and I had to whisk it away from said daughter before she saw that! Otherwise the toy is amazing, I want one too! I half-expect it to develop self-awareness... it's that smart.

the Zoomer Dino lives up to the hype!

Children and adults alike love this toy. After seeing my daughters Dino my father in law wants one for his birthday!

The Dino was not what I expected.. thought I was getting the green one but got the purple one, so I returned it to a Walmart. The transformers were perfect.

Awesome toy

I bought this for my four year old for Christmas. Charged it so she would be able to play with it right out of the box. Played with it myself and she is going to love it! Very neat toy. The only down fall, as I was reading the directions it informs you the battery only stays charged max 30 min and has to charge an hour. Not sure this is going to work for us. Because I did run the battery down and it only took about 25 minutes. So.

Interactive Dino

My 3 year old son was soo excited to get this Zoomer Interactive Dino right after it first came out. It seemed a little expensive for what we wanted to spend but we thought "if it is actually as amazing as it sounds, our son will love it and the price will be worth it for him to feel as if he has his very own 'pet' dinosaur".
We carefully opened the box before Christmas and charged the Dino until the eyes turned from red to green, indicating a full charge, then placed it back in the box and wrapped it up. Charging the first time (before play)took about 25-30 minutes (and about 45-60 minutes all the other times).
Our son LOVES dinosaurs and the look on his face was priceless when he opened it! We had to immediately stop opening gifts to let him play with Zoomer! It only took a few minutes to get it back out and functioning and our son trying to control him with the remote.
After maybe 10 minutes of trying to operate Zoomer with these controls, the remote was laid over to the side and we were just watching him roll around in amazement. He would roll forward, make growling noises, back up and turn a different way, make more noises, and basically "cruise around" the house.. If you hold him down or hold his mouth, he seemingly gets angry and his eyes change from green to red. Then when you let go, he spins around and around with red eyes like he's pitching a fit. He can also make noises like he's passing gas.. Both of our sons (ages 3 and 7) and our 5 year old daughter thinks that part is hilarious. (My 5 year old girl and 7 year old boy lack interest in this toy otherwise).
The toy seems very fragile to me mostly because of how electronic and movable it is but my son has accidentally dropped it a few times and it seems to still function properly. I have never seen it fall over like some other reviewers have stated but I've seen it bump into things and turn and go the opposite way. It rolls well on all the floors we have used it on (hardwood, laminate, and 2 different carpeted areas, one fairly thick carpet area, and one low carpet area.)
We purchased this for our son for Christmas 2014, and by early January, it was on the shelf collecting dust.. He has played with it a total of mabye 3-4 times this year but only in the sense of turning it on and watching it roll around.. He has used his other Dino figurines to pretend play with it and I've had to stop him from pushing it around the floor manually a few times, but other than that, it is mainly a decorative item for his room now. My 11 month old is scared of the noises it makes and runs to me if someone turns it on. As long as I'm holding her though, she just stares at it until it's put back up then she will return to the floor to play again..
In conclusion, my 3 year old DOES have a short attention span but for the price I expected this Dino would do a lot more than it does and keep his interest for a LOT longer than it did.. The price has dropped about $20 since we bought it last year but I'm still not sure we could justify paying the $59 price tag it comes with for what little features it has.. If you're looking into buying this, it may or may not be a good choice for your family, but be prepared to watch it roam around in circles for a month or so growling and making other noises, and then becoming a decorative conversation piece that only gets drug out when children come over that don't already own one. We are looking into buying the Zoomer Dino "Jester" this year because the description seems to suggest more options and interaction with your child than this Zoomer 'Interactive' Dino ended up offering.. If your looking for actual interaction, and something worth the money you put into it, I would recommend looking into a different toy dinosaur for your child!

Did not meet expectations

Dino came in a timely manner. It is for my grandson's Christmas. Two sides of the bottom of the box were cut open (looks like with a box cutter). I would think the people getting it ready to ship would have caught that.

Disappointed

We bought this and it was such a waste of money
The Dino did not follow what it was suppose to do.wish I kept the receipt to return it . Don't waste your money
