I tried these pound cakes out of curiosity because they were on sale.  I was expecting stale cakes near their BB date...  But I was pleasantly surprised.  Tasty moist cake, but this almond one is basically the regular cake with Almond shavings on it.  I was hoping for a little more almond flavor but did not really notice any.

Not so almond, almond pound cake.

TOO EXPENSIVE NOW!

This loaf was loaded with almonds atop it. The loaf itself had very little almond flavour. In addition it had several inedible bits throughout it that resembled melted plastic. Unfortunately this experience didn't make this product a winner.
