Description & Features+

Protection of data lines (Ethernet, Coaxial and Phone lines) ensures complete protection of your equipment from surges. It is very important to protect your equipment from “back door” surges traveling through data lines, as they can be as damaging to your equipment as surges traveling over power lines. Receptacle Shock Safety Shutters protect users from accidental contact with unused outlets. The overload Indicator illuminates when connected equipment draws more power than unit’s capacity. To remedy the condition, unplug less vital equipment.

Ratings & Reviews+

APC Home/Office SurgeArrest 8 Outlet with Phone (Splitter) and Coax Protection, 120V is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from As advertised The Joule rating on the box is 2770 and the answer in the product Q&A is not correct. Other than that it is a great surge protector with 4 spaced out plugs. I use it for my computer, printer, speakers and sub woofer, monitor and backup usb drive. I will still have another outlet to add a scanner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have had great results from APC surge protectors I purchased this unit to protect a laptop computer and stereo amplifier that had no surge protection. On two different occasions within the past two years my house suffered a major electricity surge. One time lightning hit the electric power line about 150 feet from my house. The other time the electric service cut off due to a storm, and then a minute later the power flashed back on for a half second and then dropped again. In both those incidents an APC surge protector (in my house) was "fried" by the electric surge. But the computer equipment that was plugged into the surge protector was not damaged. The APC surge protector did exactly what it was supposed to do -- saved my equipment. In both cases I phoned APC customer support and they immediately shipped me a new identical surge protector at no cost to me, based on the lifetime warranty they have on their products. After those two incidents I am a real believer in using APC surge protectors to protect electronic equipment -- LCD TVs, computers (both laptop and desktop), microwave oven, coffee maker (with electronic controls), stereo amplifier, and pellet stove (with electronic controls). The cost of the APC surge protector is small compared to what it would cost to replace a device that is damaged or destroyed by a major electric line surge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Low Cost....High Quality Surge Protector As the title say's this surge protector is low cost and high quality. It is extremely well designed in that it takes into account the need for different facing outlets for "power bricks" for items like routers and external HDD enclosures. It also has the options where you can protect your cable coaxial connection so that it doesn't burn out your T.V., Modem etc. during a power surge/lightening strike. This feature is extremely important to me considering that I live in the lightening capital of the U.S.....Florida.There is also a feature where a red indicator light will illuminate if, for example an appliance plugged in anywhere in your house is grounded correctly. All I can say is if you basically need an inexpensive surge protector for the home and you don't have any special requirements beyond the ordinary is that you can't go wrong with this gem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Obvious Quality Like most of us, I rarely buy a new surge protector. As I was picking out new equipment for a home theater, I did an internet search for reviews of good quality surge protectors and found out about the APC products. I was able to find just what I wanted at Walmart online. -- As soon as I opened the box, I realized that this was not another "Choice-Cheapo." Not only more substantial than others, it is very well designed and thought out. It has the little extras like dust covers on the outlets, a positional power chord, and a low profile plug. Something that surprised me was that there was a coax cable, phone cable, and Velcro cord organizer included with the item. This is something which isn't mentioned of the Walmart site or even on the product package.
