Don't buy the Allstate Protection plan

I never write any reviews, but the experience I had buying this watch was unpleasant, so I decided to write one. Hopefully, other customers don't experience what I had to go through. I ordered the watch on October 11 and received it on the 14th. One week into using it, I started to see that it was heating up and turning off while charging. Since I bought the Allstate protection plan, I thought I would contact them rather than return it to Walmart. They told me to mail the watch to them so they could repair it, so I did that. Two days later, in the morning, I received an email saying they had received the watch. The evening of the same day, I received another email stating they could not repair the watch and sent me a Walmart gift card for the watch itself, which was $349. The total cost for that watch was 414.60(349 for the watch, 34 for the protection plan, and tax 31.60) They didn't even ask me if I wanted the watch back or the gift card. They did not refund the tax or the protection plan cost since they couldn't even fix it, and I only used the watch for barely 1 week. Not only that, they said that they would not return the watch back to me. If I were to return the watch to Walmart, they would have refunded the whole amount. The bottom line is there is no use in paying for the protection plan from Allstate. I called them to see if there was any way I could get the watch back, but they kept saying that they had refunded me the amount for the watch, and that is what the plan covers so they couldn't return the protection plan cost. I even told them that they could take that gift card back and just return that watch to me. They said they would get back to me soon. I really hope Allstate can fix this. I will come back and update the end result.

I highly recommend Walmart to buy your new Apple Watch for a great value and safe shipping. My wife is so happy of her Mother's Day Apple Watch that came in great condition including a one year warranty. We decided not to go with Walmart's extended warranty since Apple is the best smart watch on the planet. Viva Walmart!!! 👍🏼

The charger doesn't work!

My last watch was the 4 series, and it lasted 5 years until it started to die right after my runs the last two days. I bought this and had it delivered the same day which is pretty cool. It was dead and took over an hour to turn on. I finally got it updated and synced with my phone. I am kinda irritated that the charger has a USB-C port at the end instead of a regular one. I'm not a fan of this switch but anyway - I realized one of my charging bricks actually has 3 different USB-C spaces, none of them worked. I bought some adapters to see if the charging brick is the problem though I doubt it as it charges everything else. I logged a 6 mile run with NRC and by the time I got back to my phone, the run was deleted out of the watch.. Pretty disappointing for a brand new watch. I use it primarily to log my workouts so I don't know if I recommend this just yet.. Nice watch though btw the control center is now accessed by pushing the button on the side, under the crown...
