Description & Features+

Avari® Conversion II Rower/Recumbent Bike

With the Avari® Conversion II Rower/Recumbent Bike, you get two cardiovascular workouts in one space-saving machine. The magnetic resistance gives you a quiet, smooth workout at any resistance level. Increase or decrease the workout intensity without interrupting your workout. The grip-edged, 8-position dial knob increases or decreases the workout intensity.

To switch from cycling to rowing or from rowing to cycling, simply pull the pin and adjust the seat. The padded seat glides on ball bearing roller system for smooth rowing, and adjusts to a stationary position to fit different leg lengths for recumbent biking.

The oversized aluminum seat rail/rowing beam gives extra durability and strength.

The multifunctional electronic fitness monitor keeps you motivated and on track to reach your fitness goals showing speed, distance, time, odometer, heart rate, and calories burned.Oversized foot pedals and adjustable foot straps hold your feet securely to improve pulling motion while in biking mode. Exercise bikes without this feature have the pushing motion only and not the more advantageous push/pull motion. Heavy-duty nylon rowing strap with foam hand grips keep hands stable and comfortable while rowing. The Avari® Conversion II Rower/Recumbent Bike folds for easy storage. Because both are impact-free activities, stationary cycling and rowing can be lifelong forms of exercise.

Ratings & Reviews+

Avari Conversion II Rower/Recumbent Bike is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great combination rowing machine/recumbent bike The Avari is a very heavy, sturdy, and stable exercise machine. The magnetic resistance is very quiet in both rowing and pedaling modes. In the rowing mode the seat glides smoothly and quietly. For pedaling it locks in place. When I use my road bike or wind load simulator my rear gets sore after about fifteen minutes :) On the Avari I can go for hours. It requires assembly, but if you follow the user friendly instructions there should be no problem. It took me about a half an hour.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I enjoy it, but it's not for short people! I have had this machine for about 4 months now and am glad that I purchased it. I couldn't decide between a recumbent bike and a rower, so this was the perfect compromise. As others have said, it's not a perfect (or typical) rower. But it suits my needs since I don't go out rowing in an actual boat EVER. I just wanted to be able to get a full-body workout, and it serves that purpose nicely. I use the bike more than the rower, and I started on the lowest setting. I was incredibly out of shape and will tell you that the lowest setting BURNED my thighs (which was good). I still haven't made it past level 4, and I only do that for a short portion of my workout. One caveat: I can't imagine anyone under 5'3" being able to use the bike portion of this machine. I am 5'5", although I have a long torso and short-ish legs (my legs are probably more typical of someone 5'3"-5'4"), and at the closest seat setting, my feet JUST reach the bike pedals. (The rower foot holders are closer to the seat so you could maybe still use that portion.) My husband and I put it together in exactly 1 hour. It was quite easy, but I would suggest two people if possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Purchase It was purchase this bike or pay for gym membership...we made the right choice. This bike/rower is smooth, easy to use and even fun. In MN it's easier to go to the basement on a cold morning than to drive and we get options for our workouts!! Easy to put together, fast delivery...can't say enough good things about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to use We purchased this item in January and it has been very frequently used in our household. My husband, who had not previously had a regular fitness regime, uses it 5-6 days a week, and has lost inches on his midsection. I use the machine a couple of times a week. It is a fairly quiet machine and folds quite easily to tuck away against the wall. Saves us going to the gym, especially in the nasty winter weather. Definitely would recommend this to others. No real learning curve to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the combination within the same unit I bought this item with high hopes that it would be used by everyone in the household and we are using it regularly. The choice of biking or rowing is easy to convert. One selection and your change is done. Smooth mechanisms for either choice. Easy to assemble, adjustments again simple selection. No regrets, no assles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pretty happy pros: This machine is smooth and quiet. I like that it is adjustable and easy to store. The seat is comfortable. Cons: The heart rate monitor has not worked. It has been slow to get customer service on this issue. They usually take more than one e-mail over weeks to respond.
