Balderson is known for its 'old' cheddar, a personal favourite of mine.  It is always flavourful, with an excellent sharp aftertaste that permeates in my taste buds.  While kids prefer the mild, Balderson is my choice in cheese.  Excellent brand, brilliant product and well priced for its quality.

Power In Flavour

Caddle

I don't enjoy mild or bland cheeses.  I prefer those with a stronger flavor. In cheddar I like old or extra old. Balderson cheese is one of my favourite brands.  It has a real bite to it. I enjoy the flavor. I don't mind paying a little bit extra for this brand as it is worth the extra cost. I recommend it.

Great cheese

This particular cheese had a strong taste, which I liked.  It was adequately priced.  Tasted very well with my charcuterie board.  Would probably buy it again in the future for another charcuterie board, provided it was still reasonably priced.  Would recommend this to others.

Delicious, rich

I only buy balderson cheese now. It's so delicious! My only complaint is the block is too small. The taste is way above that of other major cheese brands. The other day I ran out of it and had to use my remaining cheese of my no name block and the taste difference was very noticeable. I can't bring myself to buy other cheeses now!

Ruined other cheeses for me

Calderon old cheddar is one of my favorite old cheddar. Even fir the adjective old, it always tastes fresh, crispy dry with a smooth aftertaste, and excellent on sandwiches, grilled cheese, burgers or salads. (And more)  Great brand, great flavour and great OLD cheese.

Old Is The NEW New

Bold tasty flavour.  Smooth and creamy texture.  It is so good I wish there was a bigger size brick.  The cost is something left to be desired.  I buy when it's on sale

One of the best

This cheese is delicious with crackers, with red pepper or green pepper jelly and on its own. It can be a bit pricey but it does go on sale for decent cost pretty regularly. I buy this cheese when I am treating myself to a fancy cheese plate. Also makes good grilled cheese sandwiches for with tomato soup.

Tasty cheese

I buy this cheese for Christmas and Easter gatherings and make a platter as it's a family favourite. It's great with all types of crackers and meats as its rich taste isn't too over powering and tastes delicious. Our family enjoy it over any other brand of cheese. I highly recommend giving it a try for all special occasions.

Balderson Old cheddar cheese

Don't believe the overly positive reviews (who clearly received the product free or for compensation). This tastes like the mucu cheaper kraft or armstrong or black diamond cheeses. Contrary to the reviews, you can't taste the difference - and it's almost double the price.

Mediocre cheddar cheese

As far as old cheddar goes, this is honestly not that special, other than the brand name I guess, but no one is gonna know that when it's on a charcuterie board without the packaging. They do have other great cheeses, however, this is not one of them. Not saying it's bad, just that it is literally just so you can say "I'm eating Balderson, when it is literally just average old cheese (maybe slightly better than some other brands, but the average person would not notice, like at least go for the 1 or 2 year or truffle cheddar etc.). In conclusion, there are sooo many other options other than this one.
