I have purchased this product before. I still have the first one and it still works perfect. Easy to set up. Great picture quality and great sound. connects to the internet easy. no skipping. I highly recommend this model if anyone is looking for a reliable dvd player with apps.

Sony Bluray player, it is awesome. I purchased this as a spare since many companies are stopping making players, media storage, and going to digital media only.  I own a lot of bluray movies and dont want to get stuck with nothing to play my movies with.  This player is at a great price at $79. Sony is a great brand.

I recently bought the 
Sony BDPS3700 Blu-ray Player, and am happy to report that it works great. Not only does it play Blu -ray disks and DVDs there are also a number of pre-loaded apps  fro things like Netflix, You tube, Hulu, Slacker radio as well as other apps. There's also a feature that you can add other apps to as well. everthing worked great, right out of  the box. I'd say this is a good product at a reasonable price.

Good product at a reasonable price

Just using one arrow button takes much time. There's also no dramafever, crunchyroll, and twitch for a streaming device. Screen mirroring is lag too an low framerate so it like skipping too many frames (not my connection problem coz I had 150 mbps and my google cast doesn't have that kind of problem). I suggest you buy higher version probably worth the money if the price difference is not that much.

Really slow

I had a different Sony Blu-ray player and it began freezing up, so I went and got this one. I love the features it has but gave two stars because it started doing the same thing the other one did. If it has been on for a while,  it just freezes in the home menu and you have to get up and unplug it, wait a few seconds and plug it back in before it will work right.  I think Sony needs to address this issue.

DON'T BUY-Freezes up constantly

When I was searching for a new BluRay player for streaming, I chose Sony because our last one last for many years and we were very happy with it.  However, I am very disappointed with this one.  It seems to freeze in the middle of programs and the only way to fix the problem is it exit out of the program and go back into it - and it is not an internet issue.  There is a 2 to 4 second delay from the time you make any type of program selection to the time that it will begin playing.  I know this may sound petty but our selection would start immediately with our old BluRay. My biggest issue though is that I cannot stream Prime Video.  I clearly remember seeing Prime Video displayed in the online ad when I was searching for a new machine.  This machine does not support Prime Video!

Prime Video NOT Supported!

It was purchased January 2017 and it died May 2017. It won't play and it won't open traditionally. You have to remove power, hold down the eject button (continue holding), reapply power, wait several seconds, and the drawer will open.

You can get your DVD back, but it will never play again.

It's Already Dead

The ordering process and price were fine, but there seems to be a trend with poor.packaging and damaged shipments. Product arrived quickly, but shipping carton was literally mangled to the point that I was surprised the delivery courier didn't comment. Now I'm concerned that even though the factory packaging seems intact, there may be internal damage to the delicate electronics that won't be apparent, but may shorten the life of the item.

EXTREMELY POOR PACKAGING

This was sold as new, it is not, it has been opened before, batteries were in the remote, fingerprints on the open and power buttons and the slide doesn't open so the disc player is useless. will return it to walmart and see if i can get one that works for my wife's Christmas present

do not recommend

This is the second player I've had. The first one stopped working and defaulted back to Bluetooth instead of going to the apps. Funny thing is, I never once played a DVD in there. It also kept losing my internet settings and I had to keep going back to reset it, which began to be a big pain. The second player is no better. In fact, it is going back to the store and I plan on exchanging it for a different name brand player. This one keeps freezing when I'm watching YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon.
