Ratings & Reviews+

BenQ 27" IPS LED Monitor with 4ms Response Time (GW2765HT) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor for the price I picked up this monitor for $250 online during a Black Friday sale. I love the IPS panel. The colors are vibrant and the image is very sharp. I found absolutely no light bleed around the edges and there were no dead pixels. While it does have an anti-glare coating it is not as noticeable as many other monitors. I'm replacing a 25.5" Samsung (16x10, 1920x1200 TFN) compared to the BenQ 27" 16x9, 2560x1440 IPS. This monitor has a substantially better picture. It has connections for HDMI 1.4, Display Port (DP) 1.2, DVI-D, and VGA. It includes cables for all connections except for the DVI-D Dual Link. Don't try to use some of the older type DVI cables since they don't support the resolution this monitor is capable of. There are no USB ports which wasn't a big deal for me since I have a USB hub on my desk. The monitor does have speakers along with an audio-in and head phone jack. I haven't tried them since I have some Bose desktop speakers. I don't expect much from integrated monitor speakers. The bezel is gloss black which I don't care for but I can live with. The menu buttons are actually on the back side along the lower right edge. Each button has a noticeable bump and there is also a corresponding white dot for each button. While different I didn't have any problems navigating the menus. I really can't comment on the features to reduce eye strain since I just got it. Only time we'll tell if it's a marketing gimmick or a useful feature. Overall I'm very pleased with the monitor. Considering the steep discount and excellent picture quality I think it's an excellent value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this monitor Like the other customer, I got this for $250 during the black friday sale as well. It's absolutely stunning. Tried it with several games at 1440p and it's amazing. I came from a 23 inch Acer IPS panel that I like very much, but the extra 4 inches and higher resolution makes such a difference. I guess my only complaint would be how thick the bezel is, but I can't see myself doing dual monitors with this size, so this product still gets 5 stars. I also don't see any LED backlight bleed or any dead pixels either, came flawless. I cannot recommend this monitor enough, even at it's current price (as of this writing) at $350 it's still a great value as most 1440p IPS monitors range in the $300-$500 range. I guess it'd be nice if this had G Sync, but I'm not running anything at 4k anyways to really need it, and V Sync on my GTX 1080 will work fine. Awesome monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Need a Display Port connection for 2560x1440. I initially connected this with the DVI cable I already had connected from my older monitor. I was disappointed using the recommended settings @ 2560x1440 as the text was not clear. When adjusting down to the 1920x1080 all was good... but this was not what I bought the monitor for! I then tried the included HDMI cable and had the exact same results. Next I tried the included Display Port cable... that was the ticket! Make sure to disconnect any separate audio plug you might have as the monitor speakers won't work if plugged in, the audio passes thru the DP connection. I use my PC mainly for general uses (internet, MSoffice, etc.) as well as heavy use of Adobe Lightroom for photography review, editing & printing (which was the main reason for me selecting an IPS monitor). I calibrated the monitor using my old Spyder2PRO "puck" and found that the monitor as delivered was very close to proper calibration except the brightness was way too high! During the calibration you have to use the onboard menu buttons which are definitely a challenge as they are on the back lower RH side of the monitor. It is very difficult to select the correct button for the aligned feature on the screen. I eventually got somewhat use to the button-to-screen alignment and got the screen calibrated. Make sure to adjust the OSD (on screen display) setting to "30 seconds" so you have time to find the right button or the display will go off and you'll be stating over! Getting quality prints to look like what's on the display requires much less brightness & contrast. I was attempting to achieve Black Lum=0.50 & White Lum=90.0. I ended up at these values when Brightness=39 & Contrast=32. The first print was spot on with my HP B9180 printer. (Picture>Color Temp>User>Red99Green87Blue90) Other points to consider about this monitor; nice matte screen finish that does not reflect, but the perimeter trim edge is shinny... which does reflect! There are no USB ports on the sides, speakers are small but adequate . The menu buttons on the back are definitely a pain... but not something you'll use much for the average user. The stand I can not comment on as I am not using it as the monitor is mounted to an arm. But for an inexpensive 27" IPS monitor... the price was right for my needs... I'll live with the minor issues as the display picture is AWESOME!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Monitor! I decided to buy this monitor because of the price for the features was quite good. 2560x1440 resolution is very nice, but you will need a special cable to run this resolution, it wont be available through hdmi, so keep that in mind when purchasing and order the proper cable at the same time. That being said, once set up with the higher resolution this monitor is awesome! the crispness and the colour are some of the best I have ever seen. t does take a day or two to get used to the smaller fonts and icons at this resolution, but once you do you will love it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective Monitor flashes bright blue screen when Windows turns off the display. Does it when connected via HDMI. Benq confirmed it is defective. Trying to get replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problem with Windows 10 Would be a nice monitor IF it worked with Windows 10. NO way to get text to be readable no matter what you do. Pictures look fine but if you cannot read anything, it's always blurry, that sort of makes it a bad buy.
