If you love Egg-Salad Sandwiches as much as I do.. you will absolutely love this little machine... no more big water spills and mess and no more weird colored egg yolks.. this machine cooks them just perfect... Soft, medium or hard boiled... and the poaching tray makes beautiful, soft and fluffy eggs.
This machine has a steamer also .. want some steamed broccoli or carrots with breakfast? It's very easy and clean up is a snap! Thank You, Big Boss! :)

My mom saw this and heard it was good...we had to try it. Works great. No regrets

I Love It

We have been using it for over a month and it is a big help during the busy morning hours. My teenager puts in the eggs and it's perfectly hard boiled every time. No more watching the clock. It is easy to clean, no scrubbing just a bit of vinegar soak and done.  It well worth the money I paid for it.

Easy to use

Great product, I really like this unit and find it so much easier than boiling eggs in water, it's faster and easier to deal with than a pot full of water, I can cook my egg shells also in it after I crack raw eggs so that I feed the shells back to my chickens. I cook many eggs as my chickens produce alot.

Can't beat the price, perfect eggs every time, comes with a poaching dish too.

Boss Egg's

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I have to say as a egg boiler and a steamer it is great. I was not pleased with the egg poaching because the poacher compartments are too small for even a medium sized egg and creates a mess with overflowing egg. I suppose two out of three is not bad.

Great for boiled eggs and steaming.

This is a unitasker gadget for your kitchen that simplifies a fairly simple process in the kitchen already. Normally that would make most people suggest not to get it. If you only eat eggs once a week or less, I would agree! But eggs are awesome and healthy, so if you DO decide to eat them regularly, then this gadget will shave time off your day regularly enough that I can wholly recommend it.

It's small, so it doesn't take up much room in your kitchen, which is nice. The way it works, where you measure out a specific amount of water according to the amount of eggs you are cooking and how soft or hard boiled you want them works perfectly. Unfortunately no egg cookers out there seem to have an actual auto off function, which they totally should! But this one just buzzes fairly loudly once the eggs are done and you go and unplug it, which is okay (although I still wish somebody would make an auto-off version!).

The poacher unit fits 4 large eggs into it just fine, but barely. I'm not sure how well it would handle extra large eggs. After the eggs are poached they are a mess to remove as well. Honestly, the poacher unit could use some serious work. And I really really wish some sort of omelette addon was included so I could mix in some ingredients with the eggs.

Also, my particular unit develops some sort of rust coloured brownish spot on an area of the metal water boiling area, which is frustrating since I have no idea what could be causing it. But I think that's particular to my specific unit since no other online reviews I've seen mention the issue. It comes off with some vinegar and scrubbing, thankfully.

But yeah! Even with its flaws, it's a good little unit, and you can't get much better as far as my research goes when it comes to automatic egg cookers, and the price is great compared to most. Even the more expensive ones seem to work the same way and often don't even cook as many eggs. So if you're looking for something to speed up your boiled egg cooking, this is probably the best option out there.

Good, but could use improvement.

It works good. I have not tried the vegtables in steaming them.  I have a ceramic stove top and it takes as long as this to do boiled eggs.The thing I dont like is the eggs are so wet. They do peel good. It is like steaming them.  Once I cracked a egg using the sharp edge to poke a hole in it.  Maybe get better using it.  Good price.

Efficient

We bought this to replace the Westbend one that just stopped working.  The Westbend one had a switch that this one does not but the switch broke a while ago so unplugging it when it's done was not an issue for us.  We did notice that when you pour the water on the element that you have to be sure the tray was not in place as any water left on the tray did not boil off and therefore the timing was off.

Does the job for the price

lasted 1 month of using once a week.  last time steamed up but eggs were raw at end of cycle.  would not recommend it at all.
