[Employee of walmartcanada] I bought this vacuum in green to replace our bisell portable vacuum at home that I got 2 years ago. It simply does wonders. It cleaned my stubborn carpet and sucked out all the gunk it could possibly have. Plus! It was on sale too! I must say, this is a good buy if you don't mind a little bulkiness. Overall, it does the job more than I expected!

It has that wow factor!

This is an excellent little vacuum for the price. Good suction and a really long cord. Great for area rugs, low carpets and plain flooring. No bags to buy and a filter you can clean. Great deal. Very pleased with it.

Good deal

I own 2 of the latest Dyson DC77 cinetic upright vacuums and they are too powerful to move well on carpet. Not to mention they eat my bath and front entrance rugs. I bought this vacuum solely for vacuuming my area rugs and mats. I loved it so much, I bought another for my 4 level house. With a house full of vinyl flooring, my only complaint with this vacuum is an easy fix. The height settings are rather low. On low pile, it works best set on high pile for height.

Works great even though it is inexpensive!

I love this vacuum. It's is miles ahead of the last bissell I had. The easy empty dirt cup is awesome. It isn't "hands free", and sometimes you still have to dig around to get everything out. (We have three short hair dogs - which means they shed a LOT!, as well as having to pick up little clumps of toy stuffing that a quick sweep or pick up didn't get). That's not necessarily the vacuum's fault, but it's a little annoying. I wouldn't go back to my old vacuum though, this one gets everything. We live in the top floor of a house, and I joke that it's so awesome, it could suck the dirt from the floor in the downstairs apartment. Also, another awesome feature of this vacuum, is that if you do get a clog in the hose, the hose easily removes from the back of the vacuum cleaner on both ends, rather than only the regular ONE end for cleaning as before. That way, if there is a bad clog, you can poke it through, rather than destroying the hose because it won't come off, as in the old bissell we had. I would recommend this vacuum anyday. :)

I LOVE the easy empty dirt cup! :)

IT IS AWASOME IT PICKED UP DIRT DEEP DOWN IN MY RUG. I WOULD RECOMMENDED THIS VACUUM TO ANY ONE EXSPECIAL WITH ANIMALS MY CARPET FEELS GREAT. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS GIFT. NOW I JUST NEED A PET STEAM CLEANER MY HOUSE HOLD GREATLY APPREICATES THIS VACUUM. BISSELL IS THE BOMB OF ALL VACUUMS.

This vacuum is very light weight and easy to use. Even though I have back problems, I found this vacuum to be extremely light weight to push and carry up and down the stairs. I have a lab/border collie mix dog and the vacuum easily cleans up the dog hair. It is amazing to see the dirt and hair that is captured in the canister. It is very easy to empty the canister. I found that that I am vacuuming more since it is not so cumbersome to use.

Powerful yet light weight

I received my Powerforce Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum 1700 the other day. It was extremely easy to assemble. It was so lightweight, it didn't seem like it would be very good. I used it today and it was fantastic. It picked up the animal hair on my carpet that wasn't even visible. It has great suction. It is the quietest and lightest vacuum I have ever used. I could vacuum areas where my other vacuum couldn't reach because of the way it is built. I have never been disappointed in any Bissell product I have purchased and this vacuum is no exception. I love my new vacuum.

Fantastic vacuum

I swept my floor with my old sweeper first then ran my new Bissell - the collector cup was a quarter of the way full with the stuff my other vacuum didn't pick up. I absolutely love this sweeper. I have 2 pets and it picks up the hair great. It is lightweight and easy to push.

Love this vacuum!!!

I was a little skeptical when I received this vacuum. It was very lightweight, smaller than my current vacuum, and bagless (and I like my vacuum bags). My intention was to keep this vacuum on my second floor and my "better" vacuum on my main floor. But after putting this vacuum through its paces, I have to say I really like it! So much so, it is now my main floor vacuum and my other vacuum has be relegated to the upstairs. So here are the pros: it's so light that pushing it around is a breeze; it has great suction, its smaller width makes vacuuming in-between furniture and into tight spaces easy, and it really picks up the pet hair. The cons: I have to empty the canister that holds the dirt often. That being said, it's actually pretty easy to do and not nearly as messy as I was expecting. I am cleaning up after four kids and two dogs, so my experience may not be typical for the average user. I think the best feature is by far how light and maneuverable it is. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this vacuum!

Great lightweight vacuum!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I love this vaccuum but the little wheels at the base that help the vac glide over carpet broke off and I couldn't Crazy Glue it back on. Now the vac works but it's very hard to move around without those gliding wheels underneath. I'm trying to find a replacement piece or someone to help but it seems every path is directing me to replace the whole vac. It seems like a waste to throw an almost perfect vac in a landfill. If I could fix it, I would change my review to 5 star because it's a great vac otherwise.
