Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well for price So far so good. Works very well for the size and price paid. Having a case also was a factor in deciding to buy this model.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Defective Chuck Chuck binds up when trying to open for some reason. To open the chuck, I have to turn it in the direction to open, then when it starts binding, do a quarter turn in the other direction, then continue turning to open, until it starts binding again. It's usable, but a bit of a pain. If I used a drill often I would get a different one. Other than that, it's a pretty powerful drill. Have used it with a pretty large spade bit to drill a hole for a deadbolt with no problems. Have also used it to drill a hole for a deadbolt through a solid core door with a hole saw with no problems. This is not a drill/driver. Kind of hard to control the speed when driving screws. It's either driving screws in very slowly, or very fast (often stripping the screw head). Trigger seems to control how much power is delivered to the motor, not the speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Quality drill!! I bought this after my Craftsman Evolve suddenly died right in the middle of a project at less than 6 yrs old,so I went online and found this gem. Priced right, for me, at $49.00,and knowing that Bostich is a division of Stanley tools helped sway my decision in favor of this beauty. You know how you can just 'feel' the quality in a well built tool, well that is how I feel about this drill.Although I've only had this for less than a week,I know it's going to give me many hours of being able to get the job done without worry.I was able to finish my project before colder weather settled in the last few days here in eastern Ohio,so now I'm just waiting out the next few days for Spring to finally make an appearance so I can get back in the garage and begin my Spring projects of picnic tables, swings and benches for my clients. A little heavier than my last drill, but not really an issue at all,I kind of prefer a heavier drill anyway. I definitely recommend this drill if you're in the market for a new one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! Bostitch is the premium power tool brand associated with Stanley. I've been quite disenchanted with my USA famous yellow-brand 4A+ drill for many years (a really popular model many years ago--yeah, that one). It just doesn't have sufficient torque, and it thus proved very frustrating to use--it's perplexing, a betrayal, even. The difference (2A+) in power and torque does prove very significant, after all. I do own a meaner 9A drill, also--it doesn't have a tool less chuck as this does though, and it's far heavier, bulkier, and unwieldy. This Bostitch drill features a metal tool less chuck (a big plus) and fine case, too. Even though this is a PRC-fabricator drill, it's simply much stronger and better than my old drill: The Bostitch proves far more likely to drive screws all the way in--it also drills through tough woods far better too. It's great to have this now as my main go-to corded drill--perhaps this is the best corded drill value for the home DIY'er. I can't really claim long-term durability yet--that's looking fine, nonetheless. Forget cheapo 3A+ drills (which prove unworkable in the clutch)--spend the very reasonable amount asked here for this model from Bostitch, instead--you're unlikely to find a better deal, and you'll stop looking and parsing, too. Brand, rep, over-puffed/over-priced hardware/home improvement store power tool display , salespeople recommendations, and even USA-make don't matter as much as they did in the past: In the end results always matter, right? (I wish that this model proved available many years earlier.) Thanks for featuring Bostitch, Walmart!
