I had one of these as a child and it worked for over a decade. I purchased this one and it is equally as amazing. Sharpens the pencil within seconds, perfect everytime. Its also surprisingly quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we love this pencil sharpener! it is remarkably quieter and faster as stated in the description. it only takes about 3-5 seconds to sharpen a un-used pencil or one with a broken tip. this produces much less shavings and the sharpened end of the pencil is very smooth, no matter what type of wood. we have sharpened all kinds of pencils - colored pencils, watercolor pencils and regular #2 school pencils. it has something called "tip saver technology" that prevents any pencil from being over sharpened which of course extends usuage of it. i am quite satisfied with this pencil sharpener for my home use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bostitch QuietSharp Executive Electric Pencil Sharpener, Black is a small, but heavy duty sharpener that sharpens quick and to the point (pun intended). It stores pencil shaving in an easy to remove, pull-out bin. It is made from sturdy plastic and is electric, which is a big plus for me because I will not have to worry about batteries. This product is definitely recommended.

I have been searching for a heavy duty electric pencil sharpener for a long time...and I'm still searching.  The sharpener doesn't sharpen one side of the pencil so there's still shaving/ wood left on the pencil.  In addition, the tray doesn't come out or go back in easily.

Sucks

This pencil sharpener lasted about a month. My kids used it daily to sharpen their pencils for school. One day, it just stopped working. I looked inside and everything was where it was supposed to be. I don't know if it is the motor or if the sensor just decided to quit, but it no longer works. I'll be buying one of the old-school hand crank ones to replace it. They're cheaper and last longer than any electric one I've come across.

Not worth the money.

This pencil sharpener only sharpens one side of the pencil! It's infuriating. I bought it because I thought Bostitch was a well known reputable brand. This was the only electric pencil sharpener in the store. I assumed that meant that it was good enough quality that there wasn't demand for more options. I was wrong.

HORRIBLE

Only sharpens one side of the pencil. It doesn't matter if you press the pencil to one side, or twist the pencil to get it to sharpen the other side. It only sharpens one edge, leaving the pencil useless. Very disappointing

Do not buy!
