Creaminess

I tried Boursin Shallot %26 Chive on a grilled top sirloin steak and it worked really well. I cooked my steak on an indoor grill, then wrapped it in foil and slathered a generous scoop of the cheese on top while it rested for a few minutes. The Boursin softened and got creamy but didn't completely melt or run off, which actually made it feel more like a flavored cream cheese than a traditional butter.

The texture out of the package looked a little clumpy and I was worried it would crumble or fall apart when I scooped it, but it stayed fairly intact and was easy to spread over the hot steak. The flavor is on the milder side: you get a nice oniony‑shallot and chive taste without it being overpowering, and it paired really nicely with my steak, roasted mini potatoes, pan‑roasted carrots, and stir‑fried veggies. It added a rich, savory finish without taking over the whole plate.

After eating, I checked the nutrition label and was a bit surprised at how rich it is: 120 calories and 12 g of fat per 2‑tablespoon serving, with 7–8 g of that as saturated fat, plus 2 g of protein and just about 1 g of carbs. It's basically a high‑fat, low‑carb dairy treat, so for me it's something I'd use as an occasional topping or party cheese rather than an everyday spread.

Overall I really enjoyed the taste and creaminess and loved it as a steak topper, but I'd be mindful of portion size because it's easy to eat more than you realize.

Creamy, mild, and great on steak

Boursin Shallot & Chive Spreadable Cheese

Tasty spreadable cheese with shallots and chives has become one of my favorite spreadable cheese recently. The flavor is a little bit different but still delicious.

Spreadable Cheese

Caddle

Something I use when i want a choice that is familiar and a little elegant without any effort. It's rich but not heavy and has a gentle tang. Great to on your favorite cracker.

Boursin Shallot & Chive, Spreadable Cheese

everyone loves this product with us, convenient for meetings with friends at the aperitif

Best taste in my opinion

I put one of these cheeses with cherry tomatoes, basil, olive oil, chilli flakes, garlic, spices in the oven and it creates the yummiest pasta sauce!

Great for homemade pasta sauce

A good quality, delicious treat as an appetizer or a snack! Easy to spread and a yummy flavour. Great with salty, crunch snacks.

Delicious Treat

I like this flavour and the texture of it is really pleasant. Was great for crackers and charcuterie spread with the girls
