This is my 3rd Multi mix. I started out with a 220, moved up to a 280, and now splurged on the 350. So excited to get a black mixer too. I have owned these mixes for well over 35 years so don't think they ever broke, they didn't. I just moved up as I found the more powerful models. I've only owned the HM5130 for a week and had to make cookies for Valentines Day for my granddaughter's class. A stiff dough (Spritz) and the mixer did great! Braun Multi-mix is all I will use or buy for a hand mixer.

disappointed! 
It takes much longer to blend even light batters than my previous mixer and it is also louder. 
The blades to not grasp ingredients like a blade that has wider surfaces. 
I also do not find it useful for heavier loads - too tiring to hold up a hand mixer for those tasks - so the dough hooks are not necessary in my opinion. 
I have a stand mixer for those tasks. 
I do love the chopper attachment!

disappointing

I've had this mixer for about a year and have used it maybe 5 or 6 times. It has good power, easy to use speed control and the included bag for the beaters is very handy. Unfortunately I discovered the “Achilles Heel “ of this unit today. Note in the attached picture the ends of the hook beaters that come with the unit. The one on the right has the end point needed to connect into the mixer. You can see the one on the left has broken off. Unfortunately Braun appears to have “gone cheap” and used plastic instead of full metal for this crucial connection point.  Now I have to see how much I will have to pay for replacements….

Good hand mixer with convenient bag but…

I'm quite disappointed by this. The container to chop actually leaks! I had vinegar leaking out due to lack of a seal when I turned on the machine due to centripetal force.

Leaks. Need better seal on container.
