Super easy, no mess
The massage rollers actually help with the pain a bunch if you apply a little pressure.
Afterword if there is still small hairs I take off The massage roller head and just run it up my legs.
Doing your armpits will hurt a ton but doing it in the shower under cold water really helped. Also just taking the machine and running by everything fast a first time and then getting what every left, helps with the pain

*****Use the wipes!!! Just make sure if you have extremely sensitive skin like me that your skin has had lotion for a few days , or else the machine will pick your dry skin. (It's like a tweezer)

Amazing! First epilator I've owned and I love it. Works great dry. I haven't tried it wet yet because I don't really need too. My favorite part is that it has a shaver attachment. Now I don't have to spend money on razors anymore. Definitely worth it!!!!

Worth It!

I do full legs, full hands and face. Hair should be 3mm long. And not longer than that to avoid pain. Does not work on sand grain sized hair. Waxing was a preferred option for me before. But this epilator is cheap when considered for long term, much much faster and much less effort. Very efficient epilator. Love the design! I actually bought a used one on ebay which I am using since I got it for half the price. and it was in great condition and almost new. I returned the one I ordered from Walmart without opening the box. Pain is similar to waxing and one can easily get used to it. The little pain is nothing compared to the efficiency and ease of use. Battery life is as stated 40min. I always use it on my dry skin and it is great. The hair is actually plucked out. Love it! The epilator device is Made in Germany. A friend has been using one of the earlier versions of Silk epil for 10 years. The caps are useful to work on a small area especially while using it on the face.

This was a revolution in beauty for me.

I am all too familiar with various unwanted hair removal techniques having tried most all: bleaching, waxing, shaving, depilatory creams, sugaring, tweezing, professional electrolysis. Conducted tedious online research for affordable unwanted hair removal tools, specifically facial, even the too-expensive-for-my-budget Tria and No!No! And after price-checking Amazon, O.com, eBay, samsclub.com, walmart.com, I ordered the Braun Silk-Epil 7681 Epilator from walmart.com.

Package arrived in excellent shape, earlier than expected from walmart.com via FedEx SmartPost whereby FedEx hands-off the package to USPS who delivers to home mailbox; only negative being USPS here has no residential delivery service, requiring I make special trip to post office (so much for free shipping)!

This Braun epilator 7681 is made in Germany by a company with solid reputation (a rare find these days as majority of manufacture comes from Far East). Very stylish design, easy to hold with one hand. Illumination light to see any missed hairs. Multiple attachments including a shaver head, cleaning brush, pursestring storage bag. The model 7681 is portable for use on legs/arms/underarms/bikini area/face either dry or wet (shower). Requires 1 hour charge before initial use, then allows 40 minutes of epilation before recharge.

Instructions easy to understand, offered in several languages. Braun suggests thoroughly reading instructions before initial use--done while awaiting unit's initial charge. A bit concerned about lack of easy identification of the various attachments. When instructions indicate use of particular attachment, it is identified by name and letter (not picture), so user must flip to front of instructions to ID. Time-saver: Inscribe corresponding letter inside each attachment using permanent marker! I also called Braun Customer Care to suggest printing letters inside attachments for easy ID.

For those unfamiliar with epilators (like myself), when unit switched on there will be a buzzing noise (reminiscent of my dad's electric shaver, incidentally a Braun), not overtly loud. All areas to be epilated must have very short hair for best results. I prepped upper lip/chin areas with alcohol, set unit on low, pulled skin taut with left hand and, using the right, gently pressed epilator against chin.

Recalling the "intense pain to point of tears" while undergoing electrolysis as well as reading one review lamenting the pain of epilation, I halfway expected same. Not so, my friends, not so! Just a brief, slight sting as hairs plucked out--absolutely no tears, even when addressing sensitive upper lip! Wow! A tinge of redness of the just-epilated area disappeared within minutes (reaction perhaps as I'm Scots-Irish with sensitive fair Caucasian skin). And to my amazement, the 7681 removed many coarse dark hairs with roots intact (!), even pesky white-greys unseen by naked eye, felt with fingertips!

After epilating, I splashed treated areas with plain cool water, applied chilled witch hazel with aloe for its skin-calming effect using cotton ball, lightly patted epilated skin dry with soft towel. About 30 minutes elapsed before applying moisturizing cream. No prickly stubble! No redness! No irritation! No pain! Just baby-bum-smooth-hairless upper lip and chin!

Cleaning? Easy. I removed cap to expose tweezers, swept away all visible hairs using cleaning brush, then dipped brush in 97% alcohol (for antiseptic effect) and gently cleansed tweezers while manually rotating tweezer barrel. Once finished, I turned unit on then off to ensure no fluids remained, applied cap, then recharged for next use.

Results? Wow! Awesome! Right on! Why ever did I wait so long to buy this epilator? Seriously! My review herein is based on upper lip/chin hair removal, thus I honestly cannot comment as to how well the 7681 performs on arms/underarms/legs/bikini area, yet remain confident of imminent victory in said problematic areas!

Bottom line: If you are tired of dealing with pesky unwanted hair growth, especially upper lip/chin, I strongly urge the purchase of a Braun 7681 epilator from walmart.com (best price) and hope you found my extensive review beneficial.

Awesome Braun Epilator

I got an epilator for my wedding 7 years ago, a top brand, and threw it out right away as it was so painful. This was much less painful as a first time user! I used it in the hot shower so it was less painful however it does work better dry. For best results use on really short hair, maybe if you shave 4-5 days earlier and then use it, otherwise it will just cut hair. The hair in my legs and arms started coming out a week later after first time use. So maybe it will last longer the more I use it, I hope so anyway. Haven't used on my face or delicate areas yet, just arms and legs.

Less painful than others

The product itself is great. The shipping, however, was a lot left to be desired. At first glance, it looked as though the box had already been opened, but upon further inspection, it was shown that it wasn't the case. I guess the package had been banged around a lot. Also the tracking might as well not even exist, since it never knew where the package was.

Pretty decent buy anyway. I'll have to see if I can get a different shipper next time.

Good epilator

Love this epilator for my arms & legs . Arms are smooth as a baby's butt ,legs are hair free but not as smooth to the touch maybe because my leg hair is really thick & coarse. Pain was minimal on my arms but I had to soak in the tub first to be able to o my legs. Two days after epilating my face I woke up with a rash of red dots which turned into tiny pin sized pus filled pimples!! Maybe it was because I have rosacea .next time I will use some thing before to prevent the irritation. Delivery from wallmart.com was excellent with tracking info and it came within a week using the free shipping option. Also like the fact that the unit is made in Germany even tho the plastic heads are from china.

Arms & legs awesome...face awful

I got used to the pain (or it stopped hurting??) by the time I did my 2nd leg. I have now done both legs entirely, and some of my face, and tried part of the bikini line and tops of my feet. Yes it smarts a bit at first but nothing I can't handle - I gave birth and have had multiple surgeries. This is *nothing*.

One charge lasts much longer than I expected. Difficult to get the hairs out of the head, they kind of stick. Easy to take apart and reassmble. It does not do well with fine hairs. Or hairs that lay very flat. No matter how you tug on your skin. I also found NO advantage to using it wet. On the really fine hairs I find it only works if you pull against the grain (opposite of what they say in the instructions). That causes irritation, but aloe gel fixes that right up. It's not very hefty feeling, kind of reminds me of cheap Avon devices. But that doesn't seem to affect its functionality. I'm amazed it's been a couple weeks now and my legs are still smooth as a baby's you know what!

I wish I'd got one of these twenty years ago!

Ladies this thing is awesome for you if you can handle a little pain. But guys if you have thick hair all over watch out. On everywhere except my chest it worked fine. But on my chest it broke all of the hairs instead of pulling them out. I tried it three different ways that are suggested in reviews but the only thing that changed was the pain level. I now have smoother belly, shoulders and back but my chest is in bad shape (wish I could upload pics). So just as a fair heads up to the guys interested in buying this you may want to stick with waxing. To the ladies interested this is a great purchase. My fiancé has now taken possession of mine and loves it. She is either way tougher than I am or just having very fine hairs ripped out instead of thick ones makes all the difference in pain. Waiting two weeks to grow 1/4 inch of hair and after having my chest waxed will try it again with new growth.

Guys think before you buy it

Hurts like a beach!!! Lol but then again I am sure all epilators do. I will forever stay the heck away from them. I was pretty excited at first and went to try it right when they delivered it. I tried it on my face, since the hair is thin and if anything, it wouldn't hurt as much as it would anywhere else. Wrong!!! Ouch!! I tried it a few times but couldnt take it. It felt like I was having an electric shock on the area I was trying it on. Then I tried it pon my arm to at least see if it really did a good job pulling the hair out. Nope! Again, I went through a lot of pain and I didn't see any before & after difference. Maybe since the hair was kinda thin, it just broke in half instead of being pulled out from the roots? Anyway, I bought the epilator mostly because I wanted lasting clean armpits, I can't shave them every other day or they will get very irritated so they would only look nicely clean one a week (even if I shaved them every 2 days they would get irritated and bleed and I still wasn't able to get rid of all the stubble after all that. Soo I decided I would pull my armpit hair out with tweezers. I knooww, right?!?!? One by one.. What a pain. They were really thick and I am sure I have more armpit hair than any of you (or had). Sometimes 3-4 hair follicules would grow from the same pore. So anyway, it took me a few hours to finish both armpits and by the time I finished, my neck and armpit muscles were extremely sore. My armpits bled a little but that's totally normal. I showered, then put some lotion on them and when the lotion dried I put some powder. They looked amazing!!! They looked airbrushed, the only time they looked like that was when I was a kid. A week later, I notice very few hair growing out. But they are soo thin and light that you can barely see them. So I thought maybe it wouldnt hurt so much if I epilated now? Ahh... I am done trying to overcome this electric shoch pain to look pretty. Never again. Waxing is sooooooo much less painful. You have no idea.. If you're new too this and have never epilated before, I do not recommend any epilator, but this one might be a good start if you still plan on trying it out because it comes with 5 caps (I believe) and you can use it in the shower too if you want! A warm shower will relax your skin and open up the pores, the hair removal would be easier. If you are used to the epilating pain, this one would be a good choice but keep in mind I didn't see any difference after I epilated a small area. I was also scared it would pinch me so maybe I wasn't do it right but I felt my hair being pulled but they didn't get pulled out. Sorry for the enormous review, I just wanted to share my experience with you and help you know what to expect and not expect from this. By the way, it's very pretty, full of tiny glitter/shimmer around it, where you hold it. I ended up returning it in-store. I will continue to do my armpits with tweezers and wax them.

Epilators aren't for me

I purchased it for my wife however she did not liked the product. She said it worked more like a trimmer. After the use of this product, there was redness and cuts on skin. It was too painful for her to use this product. Not recommended at all.
