I bought this nine person instant cabin tent back in November of 2024 and it has honestly been one of the best camping purchases I have made. I live in South Florida and my daughter and I go camping at least once a month, sometimes twice. Before this we always used the traditional tent where you have to slide all the poles through and set everything up piece by piece. I wanted to try an instant tent just to see if it was really worth it and it absolutely is.

The setup is incredibly fast. I can have this thing up in just a couple minutes. The takedown takes a little longer, probably around five minutes, but most of that time is just bundling everything back up. Sometimes we also like to wipe the bottom of the tent if there is moisture or dirt underneath it. Even with that it is still way faster than dealing with a traditional tent.

The ventilation in this tent is amazing. It has windows pretty much wall to wall and we love that. The floor vents help a lot too. We put a large rug down inside on the floor and it is a total game changer. You are not walking on the plastic floor and most of the dirt stays near the door.

I get so many compliments on this tent at campgrounds. I am a woman in my mid 40s. If I am camping solo people always offer to help when they see me setting it up, and then they are surprised when I pop it up by myself so quickly.

Living in South Florida we deal with a lot of rain and sometimes some pretty strong wind. There was one storm where I really thought this tent was going to lift up or collapse, but it held strong. I also sprayed it with Scotchgard at the beginning of fall for extra waterproofing and I have never had a single leak in this tent since doing that. We do not camp in the summer here because it is way too hot and the bugs are brutal.

Speaking of bugs, Florida has tons of them, especially no-see-ums. I have never had any issues with bugs getting through the screens. The only time they get in is when we open the door, which is obviously unavoidable.

If I had to mention a couple small things, I do wish the rainfly covered the windows a little more so you could leave them cracked during a rainstorm. I also wish there were a few more hooks on the ceiling instead of just the single center hook. Those are really minor things though compared to how great this tent is overall.

One thing we love to do is turn the big windows toward whatever view we have. If we are camping by a lake we face them toward the water so when we wake up we have a really nice view.

Overall I love this tent. The construction feels solid, the setup time is unbeatable, and it has made our camping trips so much easier. I honestly cannot imagine going back to a traditional tent after using this.

Best camping upgrade I have made

CORE Equipment

Opened the box at the campsite and setup for the first time in less than 15 minutes. No more stringing poles together and feeding through loops, this thing makes car camping a breeze! Size is great, big enough for a Q air mattress or 2- cots, with the entire other side available. We had a pop up camp table with a box fan setup and roo for changing. Very spacious. Weather was amazing, so I havent tested weatherproof durability but will be taking it out again next month too. Would highly recommend!

Easy setup, great size, would recommend!

We used this tent for the first time this week. We are a family of 5…2 adults and 3 kids. The tent was a quick and easy setup with straightforward instructions. It is easily setup with two people and could even be setup with only one person without difficulty. There are plenty of screen windows to keep airflow throughout the tent, and the screens and zipper doors keep bugs out. We have been fighting red ants at our campsite, and they are trying to get into the tent, but when we zip the door completely shut, they cannot get inside. It has not rained during our stay, so I cannot speak to how weather proof the tent is, but it is well made and perfect for our family. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Family Tent

Set up initially in front yard all day in the summer heat and sun. Quality is great, not a thread or seam out of place.  Quick/instant set up was doable for 1-person. When staked down the bottom vents really create a great draft through the tent - nice feature.  Zippers all quality and work great.

New tent - great quality!

Whoa, this is the best tent I've ever owned. Just got back from my first weekend outing with my wife and kids, and we put this thing to the test. First of all, this tent is huge, spacious, bright and airy. I never thought the tent color would matter, but this material actually filters light and makes it feel bright and sunny inside. The open-view roof is spectacular, so sleeping under a full moon and clear sky is simply magical.

I had this thing unpacked and fully setup in 5 minutes. I then took it down and packed it back up in 10 minutes. It sleeps an entire family, yet collapses down into a duffle bag that I can sling over my shoulder. The only downside is that the duffle storage bag could be a bit more rugged. No poles or ropes to keep track of, no grommets to navigate. The steel skeleton is fully-integrated into the tent, so you simply unfold, extend the telescoping support rods, and jump in. For those parents out there with young kids, this thing sets up and breaks down just like a Pack-N-Play. And yet it's rock solid for the serious camper. Brilliant design.

This tent has just doubled my expected number of camping trips over the next year.

The Perfect Tent

We bought this tent because we wanted something that would be easy to set up and would have enough space for 2 people and a large dog, without feeling cramped or claustrophobic with our camping gear on top of us. This tent is perfect size-wise and was a good balance between smaller 4-6man tents, and the overkill of 10-12man tents. Generally, the construction seems pretty solid and should last a long time - we used a 10x15 tarp tucked underneath as a footprint, and placed a rug inside that should protect it as well from dog claws and other damage, and made it just a little cozier. 

Set up was easy, and took maybe 10 minutes for our first attempt. Teardown was even easier, and while it was a little snug getting everything back in the bag, it certainly wasn't impossible. 

We did have issues with the included tent stakes. The ground we were camping on was tough, with gravel bits and compacted dirt, so not entirely the stakes' fault. But they felt kinda cheap, and wanted to bend way more than I would have liked - you had to be super cautious that if you felt any resistance from a rock, you had to pull it out and re-angle it or it would quickly start curling over on itself. I'm probably going to want to buy new stakes eventually, and that's something I wish I didn't have to spend more money on. 

The zipper on the entry door was a little finicky. I can see why the rain flaps over the zipper are set up the way they are to prevent water from entering. However, the zipper was tricky to get it to unzip all the way around without catching, and the dual flaps coming from different directions required you to use a very learned, specific motion to get it to unzip quickly, and would catch/snag if you didn't. 

The tent could have used more pockets inside. But we did appreciate the huge amount of wall space taken up by windows, as well as the air vents along the bottom - just a little surprised that the vents are only along one half of the tent. 

Overall, we were pleased, and hope it lasts a long time.

Great Tent Overall

I loved everything about this tent! The size is perfect for a glamping experience however the wind and rain put a damper on my review. The tent is perfect for summer weather but once the wind kicks up so does your lack of coverage. The wind blows through this tent leaves no coverage. We camp usually on the shoulder seasons, spring and fall. I recommend this tent if you'll be protected from harsh elements. I camp very close to lake Michigan which makes weather happen without much notice and change quickly.

Great summer tent

What's the point of a tent that doesn't keep the rain out….. seriously… why? Bad design for rainy weather, the rain filled up 2 inches while we were away from our camp site, it was fully set up with the rain fly and perfectly anchored with the rain fly on! Still… water everywhere.

Hates rain

I bought this tent and set it up in my front yard.  A little wind came up and blew it over. When I looked at it 2 of the end poles had split. There not in stock so now I have a tent i can't use

I waited for don long for this tent to be available. All the reviews seemed to had taken me in the right direction. The 1st night my family and I took this tent camping, we had an evening of constant rain. The water enters the tent through every window. It collects do much water in between the mesh and the "water proof" window cover that there is no other place for the water to go than inside the tent. I'm gonna have to use water resistant spray all over this thing and see if can be used. The tent stakes are a joke. You must buy real ones separately. I don't give it 1 star because it does look nice and it was easy to set up.
